Jared and his wife Cheyenne had their son Dathan last April. They have pictures up on facebook. He's got his mom's brown eyes and Jared's shy grin. Absolutely adorable!

I'm still in Arkansas working with kids. I've got a touch of road fever, and I've taken more trips in the last four months than my last two years. Colorado, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Texas are some of the places I've gone, and I'm headed to Chicago at the end of the month.

Rachel and I are the doting parents of 3 cats: Mr. Cuddles, Pookey, and our latest addition: Kismet.

Skydiving didn't work out....yet. My grandma and I are going to try to do it around Christmas time.

My brother Jared and his wife are expecting their firstborn this December. They named him John Dathan Burchfield.

My plans for September include: skydiving. Any skydiving veterans have any advice for my first jump?
I'm going to do the freefall jump, so I'll be going tandem with a pro who will do all the work.

I just finished Dale Carnegie's "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living"
It was truly inspiring and has really helped me de-stress :)
