SILAS JACKSON WALTERS BEC BEC'S GRANDBABY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silas Jackson Walters made his entry into the world one week ago on September 14th. He weighed in at 7 lb 9 oz and was 20 inches long. We are thrilled. Ashley and Sam are already wonderful parents and Bec Bec and Pop are so happy to have our very first grandson.

We also have a new member of our family....Camilla Colllins Robertson. Camilla and Andrew were married on August 20th in a sunset ceremony on the beach at Gulf Shores. It was one of the most beautiful and intimate weddings I have ever been to if I do say so myself. We are so happy for Camilla and Andrew.

So God has been very good to the Robertson family this summer. It has been a very busy summer with lots of trips out of town, but we could not be happier to have our new grandson,Silas and our new daughter in law, Camilla.

Summer

Ashley is having her baby shower in Shreveport this week-end. My grandbaby....Charlotte or Silas will be here soon! Due date is September 21st.

Then the next week-end Andrew will marry his girlfriend of over seven years, Camilla. We are so happy for them. The families will travel to Gulf Shores, Alabama for a beach ceremony and then they will have a reception in West Monroe Labor Day week-end.

Wonderful blessings coming soon to the Robertson family....a new daugher in law and our first grandbaby. So thankful for both of them.

Our Mississippi State Christmas

We had a Mississippi State Christmas and didn't even plan it that way! Ken got 2 MSU shirts and I got one. I got Sam and Ash cowbells to ring at the games. I gave Sam a Mississippi State Football book and one of Sam's friends gave him a MSU yard gnome. It was so funny...we kept opening Miss State stuff over and over. Ashley was off of work this year so we cooked the feast together. Much more fun for sure!!!!!!!!!!! It snowed in Columbus, Mississippi so our Columbus and Tupleo family got to have a white Christmas. Thankfully Brandie and her family and Carolyn still made it to Ken's mom's house in the snow. We had Ken's mom's 90th birthday party the 18th of December. Ashley was in a wedding in Texas the Dec 11th.... so we have done alot of travelling this month.

Spring

Finally Spring has come to Baton Rouge. Our Azaleas are blooming. All the years we had Easter Egg Hunts at our house the Azaleas were never in bloom......I wish the blooms lasted longer.

We are looking forward to some much needed visits with dear friends in Destin, Florida and then with Ashley and Sam in Shreveport. There is an Air Show at the Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City we hope to attend. Ken loves air show.....I just go along for the ride. :)

UP Party

We had a great party at out house Friday night. Heather Williamson had a party for the release of the movie UP for her husband Ben. They planned everything and all I did was provide the house. :) Heather made a ballon cake out of cupcakes, had 3D crafts of the party, party favors and lots of helium balloons all over the house. Of course we watched the movie after we ate the yummy food. Lots of friends from Park Forest and even one special friend from Northshore came with her 2 precious doggies. After the party Denise and I sat up and talked until 2 am and continued the talk the next day . (imagine that) We had planned to go shopping, but never got around to it! All in all a fun, relaxing, stress free, work free week-end. I needed that!

    Sounds fun! I saw the pics on Facebook- Heather did awesome with that cake! Did you know Trevor and I went on a trip to Jamaica with her a couple of years ago? She and her dad even came and stayed at my parents house in San Antonio when her brother graduated from Basic Training. She's so sweet :) Thank you for thinking of us at this time. This is the first time I will lose a loved one so I'm struggling to understand the seperation. I've been so grateful for Ashley's thoughts and support :) Love to all the Robertsons.
