Alas!

Greetings!
-------
My paper is finally done! I feel as though a great burden has been lifted off of my shoulders... but now I feel all the other smaller weights that have been building up while I was focusing so much on my other research... lol. To the work!
-------
I'd also like to request a couple of prayers:
#1 A former co-worker of Jen's studied with us once I think it was a week ago, and agreed to keep studying through Mark, but right now we're having a hard time getting the next Bible study time set up. Please pray that she won't lose interest, and that Jen and I would be effective in letting God's word do its work.

#2 A Jehovah's witness lady I studied with at the beginning of the year lives a while from here, her and her husband agreed to a study of John, as well, but as of yet it's not been working out. It's getting to that point now where it looks like they're avoiding any contact. Please pray that something works out that they either study John on their own, or something, or that God'll help us get the door back open. Thanks!

Grace & Peace,
Dominic

*Ahem*

DOS MOI PEIN, GUNAI!
That's a nice way to vent frustration. :P

I feel like this semester is the first time I've really had to break down and work hard on schoolwork that must be done. Every year I'm more and more understanding the definition of "hard." haha

The neat thing is, even though I'm doing worse this year, am turning things in late, and am feeling swamped, I'm still happy, and learning a ton. I've also been trying to get out of the habit I established last year of "coasting" spiritually (of course, when we coast spiritually, we're really only moving in reverse) and have been trying to be better about doing things with the local assembly, in the community, with Jen, and private devotion. Now it's finding that balance of time, focus, and effort that I'll hopefully get down before finals and next semester... haha.

Of course, even with all of things that I have to do, with all the complaining I do about how little time I have, I find that I still waste too much time on meaningless things. *cough* Like this very post. Good bye! and God bless. :)

Every time I took one of those goofy "Who is your Candidate" tests on line, I always tested out as an Alan Keyes woman. LOL He's a great man. All my political heroes lately have been Catholic. Maybe I should convert. HA! I'm not serious. LOL

Remember Dom, once you find a "balance," you're probably coasting, and that's bad. There probably should never feel like there's a perfect balance!

meant to post this to you before, but anyway--thanks for the reading suggestion! I've been getting steadily more interested the more I've been forced to study the topic in school. However, right now we are studying the laws of thermodynamics and particularly the 1st law makes me give one of these-- /:) because it's funny how scientists/evolutionists can move to a separate topic and contradict themselves. Energy cannot be created or destroyed, eh?

Sorry you're getting bashed so badly in the Republicans group. I don't agree with what she said at all. It is an open forum to discuss our political views, and your opinions are just as valid as everyone else's, even if it's not as popular. And in my view, you are simply being a strong Christian and standing for your beliefs. Be strong!

Glad you finished the paper. :)

Prayers are going up for the lost souls you (and Jen) are making effort to study w/. May you be able to set up another study time with them and may their hearts be tender and ready to hear what God has to say, and ultimately, put Christ on. Have a great week.

Teachers...

Greetings,

I'd appreciate prayers on behalf of my mom, she just recently had surgery and is still recovering.

--------

All is well here in Fl. 'Tis Fall break! Unfourtunately, not much breaking has been going on here for me, actually I've kind of accelerated my work... haha.

I've got a 15 page critical introduction to Psalms to write by Thursday. At first I loathed Hamilton for giving us such a task, then I really really started to get into the paper and research and enjoy it, and now I loathe him even more. How evil teachers must be to give assignments that you actually enjoy! What an evil scheme to get us to do our work! :P

As much as I am enjoying researching and writing this... a dreadful fear is looming over me knowing he's going to critique it, and that I have to defend my view before him and the rest of the class. *Gulp* Thankfully, I get to assemble with the saints and be encouraged so much the more as I see the day approaching. :P

Grace & Peace,
Dominic

Best wishes on the paper! A fifteen pager... wowzer. Good thing you've started on it before the day it's due. Haha. Never heard of a professor getting a student to defend their view in front of the whole class... weird. Good luck on that, too!

    Have an excellent weekend.

Arete. KO. Football.

We didn't win, but we did bring it into overtime and only lost by one point. Not bad considering they outsize, outnumber, and frankly, probably out skill us. It was much fun.
