Drama at the floor meeting
So, part of dorm life is the mandatory floor meetings to tell us how to clean up before they lock us out of the dorm for Thanksgiving break. I asked my RA to use this opportunity to remind the girls on our floor that our community bathrooms are FEMALE ONLY!!! I mean, I don't ask for a lot from my neighbors, but that's one thing I'm pretty adamant about.
Anyway, while we were all filling out bubbles on their silly survey, my RA mentioned it to everyone. More than one person made comments like, "Who snitched?" NOT comforting. And the girl sitting right next to me wondered out loud who had a problem with that. Then when I said something, she got mad at me for having an attitude with her! I wound up telling her that if she wanted respect from anyone else she had to show a little respect herself. It was not much fun.
Hopefully, at least a few people will escort their guy friends all the way to the first floor (from the second - terrible, isn't it?) where the public restroom is.
So, that's how I almost got in a fight at the floor meeting. Of course, my dear roommate would have bailed me out with her wrestling moves if she'd needed to :-) .
