Hey everyone! Wow it has been forever since I was on here. Camp was awsome this year!!!! Seems like we look forward to it as the biggest thing all year for 12 months, then all of a sudden we are there (at the mountain), then just as suddenly...it's over. :( So now it is time for me to start focusing on the Youth Forum at Mountain View. I hope all of you are planning on coming! We emailed flyers but have not had the response that we thought we would have so if you are planning on attending, please let us know...like NOW! Email us at mtnviewchurch@gmail.com with your name, age, address, email address, parent's names and a contact phone number. Also let us know if you will need a place to stay for the weekend. A ton of you said you were coming when we were at camp, I hope you are still planning on it. Let your parents know about the congregational singing on Saturday night. Everyone is welcome.
My family is getting ready to go to Florida on vacation next week. We are very excited! What are your plans for the remainder of the summer?
THOUGHT: NEVER STOP "SOARING"! (Isa.40:31)
Hey everyone!
Wow, it has been about three months since I updated last. I started working part time at Cumming Elementary School this year and I get up at 5:00 everyday. I don't spend much time on the computer anymore so I have neglected my pleo. I am sure a lot has happened with everyone since I last talked to you all. I know most of you now have Face Book accounts, maybe I need to get one of those????
Look forward to hearing from you all soon.
Whew, busy weekend. Lot's of fun with lots of awsome people. Hapy Birthday Tori!! You guys were all tons of fun Saturday night. (u know who you are). Hope you all enjoyed it, I love to see all of the kids together, enjoying each others company and just havin fun. Reminds me of camp. Ya done good Tracy! All these kids are growin up so fast. All aready 13 and 14 and some even older...and then there is Tiffany. Thanks to all you guys for treating her NOT like the younger kid.
Had two awsome sermons from our Brother Tramell today then went with a bunch of the kids to see Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. It was a really cute and funny movie. Glad the Mitchells could make it to visit at Mt. Vew and go to the movies with us. Thanks, Zack for putting that one together.
Ok, I feel like I am rambling, so I am gonna go to bed now. Hope you all have a great week and good luck to all who have finals this week!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
Ok, I'm not waiting so long to update, be proud of me.
We had an awsome weekend! Heather turned 13 on Wednesday and we had a birthday party for her on Friday night. It was sort of half surprise and half she knew about. All the girls at Mountain View came over to spend the night. (Sorry Amanda and Megan, We wish you could have come!)This part Heather knew about, I told them to go upstairs and get ready to go out to dinner, when they came down, we surprised Heather (and all the other girls) with a white, stretch Limo. They were so excited! We went down town Atlanta to Hard Rock Cafe (whew!) and then the driver took us riddin around town to see Centinial Olympic park (beautiful, decorated for the holidays), and then back to Cumming and dropped us off at Starbucks. It was a blast! The girls didn't mind Tracy and I ridding around with them in the Limo, so we had a lot of fun. More than I would normally do for my kids birthday but I guess they only turn 13 once. I stayed up with the girls just talking and cutting up until they made me go to bed around 2:15 am cause I was falling asleep while I was talking. Thanks for letting me hang with you girls. I hadn't realized with everything that has gone on in my life over the past 3 or 4 months, just how much I have missed my house being full of the kids, I love so much. Heather will post some pics, I'm sure when we down load them.
THOUGHT: Never take for granted the small moments in your life, they become your memories.
ok, enough of you have fussed at me, so I guess I will update. Thanksgiving Holidays are almost over. Back to work and school tomorrow. I kind of dread going back to work. I forget how nice it is to stay at home. Hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday!
We just finished remodeling my dad / Grandma's house and we are going to rent it. It was a lot of work but I found a lot of interresting things and I now have all of my grandma's antique furniture pieces. It is neat learning about your family through old things that you find when you clean out a house.
We had an awsome sermaon today from our brother Steve Tramell! Made me think alot about how I spend my money and how we don't think about spending our money. Now I am having a hard time thinking about buying Christmas. I know I need to be careful how much I spend and certainly on what. A great lesson for us all.
Well, hope you all have a great week...back to basics. Maybe I can update before two months pass this time.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: Learning to become content with where we are in life and with what we have in life is one of the most difficult things we can become.
