I am so Blessed!!

This past Saturday I was honored by my sis and her mother in law. They threw me a beautiful baby shower! And indeed we were showered with so many wonderful gifts! I had a great time and got to see so many people that I love so much! Thanks to you pleonasters that were able to make it! I felt so loved and when Ryan saw everything I brought home he was amazed at the amount of love you all have for us! We feel so much more prepared now. Mason is head down and is weighing close to 6 or so pounds they believe! Only 3 weeks to go! I'm going for the 4th of july....i could watch fireworks out my labor and delivery room windows :) As long as Mason is healthy and happy we are ready when he is!

4th Baby! That would be fun. Not everyone gets to have fireworks on their birthday. Y'all are in my prayers.

finally friday!!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend! I am so thankful its friday! This week at work has been insanely busy and I don't think I even had a chance to breath! Saving lives is very demanding :) I xrayed enough people this week to last me a while but then Monday comes too fast :) Tomorrow Ryan is taking me and mom out on the boat for some relaxing! Mom bought a fishing lic. She's too cute..she's so excited to fish! If anyone lives in the columbus area and needs some good stuff my sisters are having a garage sale at Angel's! Go stimulate our economy :) Oh yes of course baby update..Mason is a little over 4 pounds and loves to live in his mommy's ribs! ouchy! I only have 5 more weeks to go on Sunday! How exciting!
  • cruisingmom
That is exciting! Hope you have a great time soaking up some Vitamin D and drowning some worms! See you next week!! :·)

Date night

Ryan and I are having date night tonight! Yea! We haven't done that in a long time..and since the arrival of Mason is only 7 weeks and 2 days away we thought it would be a good idea! We are going to mom and dad's to watch a movie in their theater room! I made a pizza and then we are going to pop popcorn in my parents popcorn popper..its like the ones at the actual theater! It's a poor mans date but I'm excited for it and wouldn't want it any other way! This is something I want to make sure we continue to do even when Mason arrives.Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial weekend!

GOOD IDEA. When I was pregnant with Willow, about as far along as you, my midwife said that the most important thing we could do was go on a date night every week.

I think your mom and dad could rent out their theatre room for date nights! We would pay good money to watch a movie on a big screen with comfy seats and no laundry piled around us :) [x]

sounds like something you can continue to do. the babysitters will be on site, if you go to the same theater as tonight's date night :o) enjoy!

Good for you!! Our children need to see the love we have for each other...it gives them security that they need. They need the example of how to treat a spouse. I believe the most important reason for spending time with one another is to have a relationship that exists long after the raising of children is over. If we do not invest in one another, what will we have when the last child "leaves the nest"? Keep up the good work!

11 weeks to go

I can't believe that I am already 7 months pregnant! time flies when your making a baby! :) we are working on mason's nursery! well not we really its just ryan...he's painting it. He made it look like waves and then has painted sailboats on top of the waves! my husband is such a talented man! it looks incredible. when i can figure out how to post pictures i will put on up of his nursery! my belly is getting bigger and i'm able to watch my belly and see mason moving around..it kinda freaked ryan out a bit but he recovered quickly! hopefully i'll be able to decorate the nursery this weekend and get it all done. I did finish my exhausted list of spring cleaning items so that made me feel better but i am taking eveyone's advise and trying my best to chll out! hope all is well with all of you! i'll try to post sooner next time!
  • cruisingmom
Wow. Time does fly. Mark and I need to visit Knollwood one of these days. Maybe we will see you while you are still pregnant but if not I hope to meet Mason before he starts school. :·)

How not to stress...

Ok so I am officially stressed. I am "nesting" i guess. It seems as though I live in the dirtiest house in america and its my job and challenge to get it cleaned. I am also anxious to get the nursery started and finished and to get all the household projects done before Mason comes! And to me it needs to be done like yesterday and my beloved husband seems to be on "vacation" time. Not that he's not doing anything its just I feel like we should be doing a lot more...so how did all of you mothers deal with this nesting phase? I think I'm about to drive my hubby crazy :)
  • mamahastings
I did the same thing with Willow. Then I realized that she could care less if she even had curtains. Now, if baby #3 comes along, I don't even plan on giving it a room until it turns one. I remember, when I was first pregnant, going into Babies R Us and thinking "How can I ever learn how to use all this stuff or afford it?" Really you just need some diapers a few onesies and some blankets, everything else is just stuff. Try to focus on you and Ryan right now and how you are going to guide this little soul, thats where the work comes in. You guys are going to do great.

Ugh, I talk too much, I hate it when my response is longer than the post! :)

    1. your house is always clean!
    2. Mason will come and love you just as much if things are done or not.
    3. no matter what I say you will still feel the burning need to get this stuff done.

So...you two make a list, prioritize, and work out who does what.
