Banana muffins are baking.

Of course, I won't eat any.

Until they cool off a little.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmm

Yummy.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Since I'm the only one eating them, there are 11 left...one in a container on the counter, and the other 10 IN THE FREEZER, thank you very much.

Hmmm. I seem to have failed to mention how many there were to begin with...

:) I was going to make no bake oatmeal chocolate pb cookies today but didn't have any milk. While looking for the recipe, I found several other yummy sounding no bake cookies recipes (one is called vanilla orange cookies!). I need to have a party so I can make them all. I don't make too many desserts just for us bc we are both trying to eat better. Maybe I could 1/4 the recipe just together a taste! :). Enjoy your muffins-you made me hungry.

Rather than wax eloquent on Pleo or FB or email...

I have promised myself that today I will work on a hymn.

And I'm keeping my promise.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thank you for the encouragement! It was a productive afternoon, and ended too soon.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Shirley wants a preview of the new hymn, so...

If outside the Lord I be,
Far from Him who died for me,
Wand'ring in iniquity,
Is no life at all.

I pray that it helps. If it she has allowed herself too much time before seeking help, she will find it difficult help herself, for she feels unworthy and has no hope. May she hear you and give herself the right to hope.
Anne, I want to "hear" the rest of the poem!
Hey, I just saw the previous posting. So happy for your niece!

I just read your 'what do you hate?' post and when I had to kill one this morning, I remembered how much I hate silverfish. The way they kind of disinigrate when you smash them just grosses me out.
Do you also put your songs to music or does someone else do that? I've always wanted to try (if I ever get a piano again) but it seems pretty hard. I composed a couple songs in high school for piano competitions but with no words to it.

Anxious to hear the rest of the lyrics! Jimmy wrote about the garden in his monthly update. That would be so cool to have that opportunity to try things out experimentally, knowing there's an objective in mind. Yes, he trained under the master! :)

I love that my little boys...

They are so cool!

An update on our grandson, W...

who is on Pleo, by the way, at Dubya. He's 6.

Jady, Missy and W went to Texas Childrens today for the results of an EEG and other tests that were run on Wednesday due to seizures he has been experiencing for over two weeks, usually every other day. Missy gives a helpful summary of what transpired, as well as W's diagnosis and prognosis, so if you're interested, please go to her pleo page.

And do continue to pray for them, please. That means the most.

Your "encouraging" accounts in response to my previous post were very uplifting, and varied! Thank you for taking the time to share good news with the rest of us.

After analyzing eight years worth of data from the Tevatron collider at the Department of Energy's Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory in Batavia, Ill...

in which the experiment has shown a small — but significant — 1 percent difference between the amount of matter and antimatter produced, which could hint at how our matter-dominated existence came about, the following response came from Stefan Soldner-Rembold, a particle physicist at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom:

"Many of us felt goose bumps when we saw the result."

Scientists with goose bumps.

Evolution at work.
  • themother
Wasn't it interesting how the Tevatron collider just came together out of all those random parts lying around?
