Haven't posted in a while, but we've been enjoying the arrival of Cora Elise. She was born on May 7th and weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces. We are all adjusting well to having a sweet new baby girl in the house. Here are a few pictures:

She's already looking so much bigger! I got the birth announcement and she seems to have grown since Sam's shower. Of course she was only a couple of weeks old then. Your pics are precious!

Great pictures! She appears to hold herself like an older baby. I especially like the one over your shoulder with the sweet baby and dramatic red hair. Great photo00that one needs to be framed. Know you have your hands full with Olivia wanting attention too, but it so much fun .....and after just seeing our "baby" get married, it all goes so fast!!

Its really Granddaddy. I surely enjoyed my visit on the occasion of Emily's graduation. Looks to me like Miss Cora is coming along beautifully. Her grandmother, Kate, surely thinks so. You two are doing a great job and I'm sure you will enjoy this lovely addition to your family. Love, GG.

sorry about kicking you out. At some point soon we are hoping to get a hid a bed to have some company again. We really can't complain to much though about having a small child at the moment. He has been going to bed at 9:30pm and sleeping until 8:00am already.

i understand, and sometimes when I get in the water I feel the same. But of course, it is totally illogical. We don't freak out every time we get in a car, and that is MUCH more dangerous. You are 10x more likely to be killed by a coconut falling on your head, than you are to be killed by a shark.

but of course, our minds play games with us.... Man, the first time they went swimming with us here was hilarious!! They were jumping at every shadow in the water. Em will probably be the same way. I would love for y'all to come, but of course, you have to do what's best for the fam!

I was just thinking the other day that it's been awhile since we've talked. We don't have any plans to go to BG anytime soon. :( We are having both families here for thanksgiving, as you saw. Our time is tied up with trying to get this house. It is the longest house buying process of anyone I've ever known!

Sounds like you guys have it together! If you and Jeannie start a garden and canning make sure to get the Ball book of canning. It's the best guide. Also on the chart I made my own but Doorpost has a great one that you might want to check out. Hope to see you guys soon.!

Waiting For Baby!

Well, we have 3 and a half weeks until my due date and are excitedly awaiting her arrival! I have finished everything on my to do list, so now its time to rest and relax! Yesterday Chris took the day off so I could have some time to myself and enjoy a prenatal massage and pedicure!

Now I'm just trying to enjoy every minute with Olivia since I know things will be a lot different once she has a sister! I know how special sisters are and I'm so thankful Olivia will have a sister to share her childhood with! But at the same time, I can't help but be a little sad at how our special time of just the three of us is almost over!

Well, olivia came two weeks early. And while I'm trying not to get my hopes up, I have to admit that I wouldn't mind if this little girl came any time now!

Anna, pray all goes well with the delivery. The time you have with your firstborn is so special. She'll be a great big sis!

Although life with the three of us was a blast...now I can hardly remember our life without Logan. Funny how that happens. I can't wait to see Olivia has a big sister. We'll be praying for you.

I didn't realize my birthday was so close. I was three weeks late, if it's any consolation. If I was born on my due date, my birthday would be today! I can't wait to hear that this sweet un-named baby has arrived! By the way, I should be in BG a little bit tomorrow and next Monday.

These are awesome! I feel the same way she does iin that last picture- you know about chocolate! Alan cracked up when I showed him and he said you have to keep these pictures for when she gets married! He's coming around on the whole picture thing! Glad I saw these- they're hillarious!

A Tale of Two Trips

The past week Chris and I took two VERY different trips. I went to my parents house with Olivia. We had a nice time for the first few days. But we both got a stomach virus and that definitely dampered the mood of the trip. Olivia has never thrown up before, and she did not appreciate the experience! Unfortunately, we left our germs for my mom.

Meanwhile, Chris was enjoying a snowboarding trip with Brian and Rene. We usually try to get a snowboarding trip in every winter, but for obvious reasons, I was unable to participate this year! So it turned into a guys trip. They went to Park City, Utah which is one of Chris' favorite places to snowboard. I guess they did some backcountry riding, because this is one of the pictures Rene had posted on his Facebook page:

Needless to say, I'm glad he's home without any major injuries! Of course, when I'm there he's forced to stay on the groomed trails! Well, that was our week. Hope yours was good!

P.S. - I am thankful that this year he decided to start wearing a helmet!

Aw, I jealous! I'm glad that your parents live in Atlanta and you get to see Sam some. If you happen to see them tomorrow, it's Clay's birthday so don't forget to wish him a happy day. He LOVES his birthday. I think that he thinks it should be a national holiday!

I love this time of year, when all the decorations are up and the lights are twinkling! I am really going to enjoy the next two weeks now that all of my birthday and Christmas shopping is finished! The only catch is that this will be my first holiday season without seeing Jeanie AT ALL, so that is sad. But I know she will be basking on the beach for me, and at least one of us won't be white and pasty!

Here are a few pics of Olivia by the tree and playing in the yard. There are several, mostly for Jeanie, since I haven't posted in a while!

I like the one best with the surprised look and the ball. Real cute! I understand how you feel about missing Jeanie. I miss my Mexico kids so much, especially my absolutely adorable, darling, amazing, so fun grandkids. :)
