About time for a new entry

I'm sorry for the long time between postings - I have been living over in Facebook land!

Not much going on here - we finally got some snow - even though it was just a dusting, I'm still THRILLED!!!

Girls are doing great - Abby turns 11 on the 13th of this month and is excited it is on Friday the 13th.

Well - just wanted to say hi!!

Our Company's Christmast party

Hey everyone! I just had the most amazing company party - we went to one of the schools in the inner city and handed out gifts to all the first graders. Abby came with me and was an amazing help - she had the best time. Below are some of the pictures - the rest are on my facebook page....

It's about time I posted again.....

Wow - it's been over a month since my update - guess I've been spending too much time on Facebook.

Tomorrow we are off to the orthodontist to start Abby's braces - I can't beleive its time for that already... I can remember when I had braces (hmmmm hmmmm years ago).

On Friday, my office is going to go to one of the poorest Elementary schools in Richmond and giving all the 1st graders "Christmas". Instead of us having an annual holiday party, our CEO uses the money he WOULD spend on a party and buys presents (LOTS of presents) for these kids who have nothing. I am so excited about going since this is the first year I"ve worked there. I"m bringing Abby as well so she can learn about giving back.

    What a great way to spend Christmas with the office. We always go out to a nice restaurant where the majority of the office proceeds to get wasted, all courtesy of our company paying for it. I'd much rather do something like this and put that money to good use. Maybe it can be suggested.

Election Day!!

We made it a family affair - the girls had fun! We got to our polling place at 6:30 this morning and were done by 7:15. The line was long, but the atmosphere was light. It was rainy and cold, but we still had fun.

Tomorrow is my baby's birthday!!

Tomorrow is my little Becca's 7th birthday! She has been bouncing off walls in anticipation of this day ALL week! She woke up this morning at 6:15 with a sing songy voice - "Tomorrow is my birthday...Tomorrow is my birthday"

Funny - when I turned 35, I didn't quite have the same enthusiasm....

She are also excited because we are going to a costume party at the preacher's house tomorrow night (and of course it will turn into a "all about me" party) and Saturday, we are off to see HSM3 (I think I'm more excited about that!)

    Yes! I was VERY happy that the county changed the loan time on books. I'm the queen of reserves and they all seem to come in at the same time which makes it hard to read so many in just two weeks. I just finished Claire Cooks, Life's a Beach. Very humorous little book!
