It seems like it's time for my yearly update on here.

In September we celebrated 5 years of living in Missouri. It is so hard for me to believe that we have been here that long! I have grown up so much in these past 5 years. I am thankful God knew that the move here would challenge me in so many ways and help me to grow closer to HIM.

Violet is my joy! I thank GOD for the blessing of her daily! She is a shy little girl at first but when you get her out of her shell she is silly as can be. She loves her Daddy and is always so excited to show and tell him about her day. My heart is just so full of love for her.

Dustin is doing great! Last Oct. he started working as a maintenance worker for a local steel company.
He has been part of a group of people who do Bible studies in a local jail on Monday nights. He really enjoys that and I can see him growing more all the time. I am blessed to be married to him. He is the one whom my soul loves(SoS 3:4)

I am doing well. I have been making a lot of efforts to take better care of myself both physically and spiritually. Physically I have been losing weight which is great! I didn't realize how much I packed on over the years and so this year I have made a goal for where I would like to be before I'm 30. I am well on my way to reaching that goal and I am thankful to all of those who have supported me. Spiritually I have made the effort to read my Bible everyday and really spend more time in concentrated prayer. I'm currently reading 1 & 2 Samuel and the Psalms. I never really appreciated all the wisdom in the Psalms until recently. wow is there a lot in there!! So many more ways to learn and grow!

These are some pictures from the past year of the 3 of us.

Most of what I think about and do these days centers around my baby. I really can't get enough of her. I knew that motherhood would be wonderful but I had no idea just how wonderful it would be. I love seeing Violet's mind develop, learning how to touch things and grab with one hand, she has started sitting on her own, she loves touching faces especially that of her Dad. I really could go on and on here. It's embarrassing really. I need to stop.

So you might be wondering what else is going on in our lives besides parenthood and the answer is not too much. Dustin and I play scrabble all the time. We are both getting pretty good at it, Dustin use to never be able to beat me and he has several times now. Maybe that has to do with me being a Mom these days. : )

As far back as I can remember I have always wanted to be a Mom when I grew up. I am finally a Mom and it is the best job ever. I had no idea just how wonderful it would be. I love Violet so much. I never get tired of seeing her or holding her or even just watching her sleep. Sometimes I really can't believe she's mine.

I have been blessed with an excellent baby. She has been sleeping through the night since 9 days old. She is an excellent napper, I think she gets that from her Dad. : ) She is full of smiles. I love when she wakes up in the morning and is crying I go to get her and I just start talking to her and she just has the biggest grins, they melt my heart.

Dustin has been wonderful. Simply wonderful. I love watching him as a Dad.

Violet May entered our lives on 9/17 at 9:56 am weighing 10lbs 2oz and measuring 20 1/2inches long.
The LORD has been good to us and we thank Him for our girl daily.

Thank you all so much for the well wishes. I really cannot describe the joy I feel when I think about this baby. I have prayed for this for so long that sometimes I have a hard time thinking I'm really pregnant then the neausa hits and I know. I am hopeful that this week I will start to feel better. I have so much I want to do but I just can't get it done right now. Dustin has been my hero for the past 13 1/2 weeks. He has gone to the store, kept the house tidy, got my medicine and listened to me cry when I was sick. I don't know what I would do without him. He is a wonderful man and is going to make a fantastic father.

Thursday Dustin and I go in for an ultrasound and we will be able to hear the heartbeat and see the baby. I am really looking forward to this visit.
