I miss my husband. He's been working so hard on our new house, and I've been helping my dad with his new business almost every day. I get to keep the kids with me all the time, but poor Casey doesn't see much of them these days. But hopefully it will only be a week or two more, and then we can move into our new house. I'm just ready to get in, unpack, and rest! And also have a conversation with my husband!
30 weeks for Sophie, so I have to start taking it easy soon. Jenna was born at 34 weeks and stayed in the NICU for almost 2 weeks, and I don't want to go through that again.
I'm so glad it's finally naptime! (for all of us)
Sophie Reagan is due June 7th, and I have never been healthier! I also have never had so much mental stress in my life. Prayers.
No, we are not trying to get a tv show. I would be more like Kate on Jon & Kate Plus 8 than the mom on 18 Kids and Counting, so I don't want to ruin my reputation! :) But I'm working on myself constantly, and the women's class at homeschool camp this week was really helpful. I think I set high goals for my children and their behavior, which is good, but I let it frustrate me when they don't meet my goals. I need to relax a bit and remember that they are just kids! They don't always measure up, and neither do I for that matter!
I had a great time at camp this week, but we had to come home early because of Casey's asthma. The cabin we were in must've had mold or something. It was so nice to spend the days with the Spruce Pine people! I miss them a lot, but when we're together, it seems like we just pick up where we left off. They are every bit our family.
Please pray for this one to be a healthy baby BOY. Poor Jase needs a brother!
My little Jenna is four years old! Sigh. It's kind of sad, but I'm really happy to have a four-year-old. She helps me so much and she's very good about telling me who is getting into trouble in the next room :)
This weekend is my sister's baby shower. Amanda is due on Halloween and you can't even tell she's pregnant from the back! I can't wait to hold baby Wes. I must make him love me.
Homeschool camp is coming up soon! I've never been and I'm super-excited to go this year. Jenna is probably old enough to start reading, but I'm kind of putting it off until things slow down a bit. We've been working on phonics a little and she knows how most of the letters sound. I can see vowels being a bit tricky because they sound differently in lots of words.
Jason and Jenna have the same gift bag over their heads and are walking into each other and the walls right now. The things they find funny...
"Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." II Timothy 1:6-7
Does this apply to us today? I sometimes can't put what I'm thinking into words, so I need some help on this one. Any thoughts on this passage would be appreciated.
