I've recently seen a dentist, who used to be my teacher.
Glimmer of hope that maybe he'd allow me to extern there.
I really like his office, such good people! :)
I'd like to get into what I went to school for, especially since
Dr. Harrison is in our neighborhood. (which is another plus)

We've been talking about getting a new couch,
but with having other plans in the near future,
we thought we'd save our money.
Although if we come across a nice used couch that sits
higher than our current one . . . we may have a deal. :)

there you have it :) that's what we've been up to

What happened to the list of all the things you were getting rid of?

I thought maybe you'd gotten off Pleo. Good to hear from you. Don't stay gone so long.

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes! It makes it seem that
much more special!Sorry it took so long to get back on here
and to let you know I appreciate it.

We have been trimming back our expenses, so we don't have
internet at home. The only time we do get online is at work
or somewhere with free wifi.
Ya do what ya can with what ya got. :)

Work is going better, I'm only working Monday and Saturday
now. It gives me more time at home where I can actually get
caught up on housework and unpacking boxes.

Btw, if anyone is interested in porcelain dolls I have a few I'd
like to sell, we are down sizing as well! :)
Hopefully soon, I will get a list up here as to what all we are
getting rid of.

I hope all is well with you and yours.
Enjoy this crazy weather! lol

I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's day!
Carl got me a dozen red roses, a teddy bear, the movie Tangled & Pride & Prejudice.
I made homemade breadsticks with rotini, pumpkin muffins with mini chocolate chips, & cherry almond blonde brownies.
We just stayed in and enjoyed one another's company . . . as I cleaned.
:)
trying to upgrade computers at work, yeah!
We'll see how this goes on Monday!

Have a good Saturday all!

still here

Thought I'd pop in and see what everyone is up to.
:)
Things are going pretty good on our end.
I thought I would tell how our year ended.
Carl's car was on it's last leg, so in October we bought a 2013 Ford Escape.
We love it. It gets better fuel mileage than the Taurus, and we can load it
up and fold the seats down flat, and we love the fact it handles the road
(especially the snow & ice) better than his car ever did.
It wasn't too long after we bought it that our nice neighbors decided to
burglarize us one last time. When we came home after worship & grocery
shopping October 28th, I realized my laptop was gone. This laptop was a
handmedown from Velinda and the screen was on the fritz. The only thing
of value on it were my pictures. The drawers in my dresser upstairs were
all pulled out and gone through, they emptied out all of the drawers to a
jewelry box Carl had made me, but I only left junk jewelry in it. Then I
realized, this stuff on the floor, and there is a hole in our closet. That's right,
they cut a hole in our closet and came through that way. This was the day
they were to be completely moved out. We called the police and they told
us to wait outside until they came - because they might still be in the crawl
space and could be armed. This was such a terrifying night, I have the best
inlaws ever, they came over, helped us move out all that was valuable and
we started living with them. We moved out completely of that apartment
November 4th. Carl had found us another apartment, but it wasn't going
to be ready to move into until December 12th. We kept busy, and Jenny
made herself at home with the Peterson's, which made Richard very happy!
(Jenny is our cat) Jenny and Richard bonded that month, and she was sad to
leave. We were able to get our deposit back from the apartment complex and
got out quick enough we didn't have to pay November's rent. We were not able
to repaint the walls but they did not bill us for that. Many have asked if we were
going to have a lawsuit brought up against the apartment complex.
-I guess we're just stupid kids- but we figured they gave us our money back
and they were good enough not to charge us for painting.
So, we now live in the Hurstbourne Grand complex on Shelbyville Rd and near
Hurstbourne. Those big brick apartments beside P.F.Changs. Our neighbors
are nice and it's more secure since you have to 'buzz' your company into the
building before they can come to your front door. But, oh for the day when we
have our own home! :)
Also, in November when I went to my Endocrinologist for my 3 month check up,
I was pleasantly surprised to hear that I had lost 38 pounds since June.
And since I'm turning 29 this month, the reality of the situation at hand
is becoming ever clear. (losing weight + 1 more year = pregnancy)
And my Endocrinologist has already told me when that happens I will
need to call in everyday with my sugars (glucose level). yippee

ok, that's about it for now. all typed out. hope you enjoyed.

Congrats on the 38 pound loss! I need to lose weight too but I can't return to the Y till awhile after my surgery. I miss it so bad. Sorry for all your problems.

I have to have the rotator cuff surgery done again. Something happened back in Nov. & it's not been right since. I don't know what went wrong. I was about to finish therapy & doing so good. This time they have to make an incision.

Not been on here lately,
we've been dealing with robberies at our home.
'Tis the season . . . I guess.
So, not only did we have an awesome meeting with David Lanius,
but while we were entertaining him Sunday afternoon,
I discovered we were robbed once more.
Must have been pretty exciting for him,
he got to see the true nature of Carl & I and how we react to things.
:)

Anyway, today was the first Sunday we didn't get robbed.
we were robbed twice in a row! grr . . .
I don't even want to get into it. . .
so if you want to hear/know more details you'll have to come visit or call.
;)

Hope everyone is enjoying this weather!

Sorry to hear this. Hope they didn't get too much. They might have been watching you & know your schedule. And yes, you're right; it will get worse as the Xmas season rolls round.

We were robbed in august. He stole about $4000 worth of stuff from us. He took my wedding and engagement rings. I was across the street at the neighbor's house in her pool. The robber came there first and I talked to him. When he saw me, he went across the street and robbed us. I walked up our driveway as he roared out of it in reverse. They caught our robber last week. All our stuff went to his drug dealer. How is your thief getting into your place?
