Happy Birthday

Well now that school has finally started it's a bit quieter around the house. Well, in the morning, at least. Gregor turned fifteen today, and he's having a party Friday after school. All I've been hearing about all week is what he wants for his party. You'd think he's still ten years old!

Last year he got the silly idea that he wanted a goat at his party. I don't know why, it had something to do with a game he and Leopold had been playing. I didn't see any sense in it but his father decided to rent a goat for the party. Well it didn't get into my flowers (thank goodness!) but it did knock a few plates over. Then Gregor and Leopold came out dressed like some sort of African tribe, and I decided that was enough!

In other news I'm enjoying my High Kings CD, though I haven't gotten to listen to it as much as I'd hoped. My husband has had it in his CD player a lot of the time. He never listens to my Celtic Woman CD, but he says he likes this one because they're men.

Hope you have a delightful day.

It came!

My High Kings CD came today! I put off getting this one for so long, but now I'm so excited to get it! I'll have to let you all know what I think after I listen to it.

I only had time for a short entry, got to go now, it's time to call the boys to supper.

No wild parties for me, I'm working this weekend haha. But seriously the wildest party I go to is filled with Christians singing funny karaoke. BTW you will LOVE The High Kings!

this is just the beginning, my dear. Soon I will have all the pleonasts rallied to my cause, and we will be more powerful that a genuine Mexican side dish.

Waffles

This morning I got out my waffle iron for the first time in I don't know how long. The boys were already getting ready for school but I was able to get a few waffles cooked for them before they had to head out the door. The thing about waffle irons, they cook so slow! So it wasn't a very big breakfast, and I worried a little that they'd be able to make it till lunch. I guess I'm just a concerned mother.

Now we have waffles stocked up for breakfast tomorrow. Hopefully we can all sit down for a breakfast together! I always enjoy that.

I love making waffles. Our waffle iron is pretty quick.

Dinner for two

I went out to do a few errands yesterday and when I got back I saw my husband's car in the driveway. My first thought was that something was the matter because he never gets home that early, but when I opened the door I saw the table cleared with the places set and two candles in the middle and my husband at the stove! He had been let off early and came home to make me dinner! So he turned off the lights and lit the candles and we enjoyed dinner together, then we just snuggled on the couch. The boys were at Leo's so we had the evening to ourselves!

(Sigh) I do believe I'm married to the most wonderful man in the world!

It is good, I think, to have a sweet husband. She has such a husband.

I do have a sweet husband. Is there a national holiday for sweet husbands? We should celebrate.

Back at last

Wow! It certainly has been a while since I updated. I was afraid I would forget my password and I almost did, but something my husband said reminded me. I won't tell you what he said, that would give it away!

So as for what's been happening to keep me away from pleonast. Well, Gregor's grades weren't to great and he wasn't going to pass the 9th grade. I decided to spend some time helping him study and that ate into my free time, and pretty soon I forgot all about pleonast.

He's still a year behind, but he's doing much better now, and that's what really matters. He actually enjoys school now, and that's so much better than these kids who drop out and don't do anything with their lives. Needless to say, we're both very proud of him.

I haven't been doing much besides keeping house. The boys are really growing up fast, and my husband and I both feel like our time with them will be over before we know it, so we're cherishing every moment.

I'm so sick of this cold weather. I can't wait for planting season!

whatever. it's not rude. maybe to you. because like wherever you live. but, anyways. you have a husband and three boys it seems ive read. and don't worry about people asking your age. the proper way of handling it instead of putting someone down would be to say. I am older than you or I am married. or your a kid to me. or even I dont want to say my age, its a lady thing. NOT the rude way. so really think about who was being rude? sry for the comment if it offended you. I have no clue who you are. -Marty
