LIFE MOVES ON!

**The Blackaby family is doing quite well. Abby has had a little bit of the "baby blues", so I went back down last weekend to try to help. Micah has had a few nights like his Mama had as a baby, only not quite as bad. She would begin screaming about 6 pm and go most of the night. He has been waiting till 9. So she gets little sympathy from Mimi. :) The last couple of nights have been better, so she has gotten more sleep. That makes a big difference. Young mothers are tired -- plain and simple. They had their regularly scheduled Bible Study/Singing at their house last night. I had told her not to, but what do I know? She did not get the notice out on FB this time, so it was a small group of seven. It turned out quite well as Jason's aunt "forced" herself to hold Micah which allowed Abby to sleep about an hour-and-a-half. That was a blessing. It's nice to see our children are starting their children out very young teaching them what is important. I hope to go back down there after I finish my school year.

**Thursday night our last daughter, Hannah, graduated from high school. It was a lovely ceremony, and Bob and Eva were able to share it with us. It was held at the Wolstein Center at Cleveland State University, and it was so nice. The weather was perfect, too. Afterward we went to Steak-n-Shake. We enjoyed some good food, yummy shakes, and great company.

**Mark's last official day was Thursday, but there is never an end to the work. He will be going back throughout the summer to purge old papers and get his room ready for fall. I work till the 19th, and then I'll have about six weeks off. YAY!!!!

**My dad is still in the nursing care facility, but he's very happy there. The last few days have been a bit rough. Fluid build-up hinders his breathing which hinders his exercise. They have increased his Lasix. If the oral dosage doesn't get the levels where the doc wants them by Monday, he is going to put him in the hospital and pump the Lasix intravenously. He is being very cooperative and seems to be in no hurry to get home.

**It's going to be camp time before we know it, and I've got to get planning. I'm moving up in cabin age this year. I will get to spend the week with my friend (who says camp is for the kids???), and I won't have as much physical labor as with the little ones. Part of me hates to move, but I've had a rough year. I came home really sick last year, and I hope to avoid that this year. My cake decorating class is changing, and that will require more prep and thought. It's ok, though, because it will open up new possibilities. The candy class teacher cannot teach this year, and so they asked if I could incorporate candy into the cake class. I'm not good at making candy, but we'll see what happens. I suggested they change the name of the class to Creative Desserts. That way we can do cake, candy, cookies, or any other sweet goodie. It should be fun.

**Why the orange and white? The girls hated it, but Normandy High School colors are orange and white. We have ended a 20-year run as parents in the Parma City School District. It will be 20 years this fall since Abby started kindergarten. It's always bittersweet. Sometimes I really miss our little girls, but there's no going back. If there were, we would have to give back Jason, Nathan, and Micah and, Lord willing, any future son-in-law and more grandchildren. We wouldn't want to do that, so life moves on!!!

You may not post often, but when you do, you really catch us up! I enjoyed reading about what's going on for you and the family. And always glad to hear your dad is doing good. I think both of our grandsons went through the late evening awake or screaming time but are past it now. I hope Abby gets to feeling better with rest.

No problem at all. I do appreciate your concern. I did quit taking the drug on Thur. I THINK I am a little better his afternoon.
