I'm taking a break from Pleonast for a while

Bam.....bam.....bam

I was trying to take a short nap today when I kept hearing this loud bang over and over. The breaks in between the bangs were just long enough to convince me they had stopped.
Soooo annoying. Mallory was playing in the playroom, so I shouted at her to stop doing whatever it was that was making that sound. She shouted back at me in this really distressed voice,
"It's not me, Mommy! It's a bird!"
"You've got to be kidding me", I thought, "That girl has some imagination. Unless it's a woodpecker pecking on one of our windows, there's no way a bird is making that sound." When the noise wouldn't stop, I got up to investigate.
Sure enough, it was a bird.
A beautiful blue bird was flying into our living room window over and over again. He would just slam his beak into the glass and then fly away. One minute later he'd do the exact same thing again. What is wrong with that bird? If he wasn't already messed up in the head before, he's bound to be now. It went on for about an hour. It was a pretty crazy sight, not to mention noisy. He hasn't been back since, so I'm hoping he moved on to bigger and better windows. Poor bird.

duhDid it really require a formal scientific study to come this conclusion?

This is just to say have a happy day:)
Yes, we play with food at our house.

I love doing stuff like that with Noelani's food. We get pretty creative with food. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. I was really happy with how they turned out. Told the story of her birth very well.

We had a bird do that one time at our house too. But it smacked so hard it dropped dead and then we had to go clean it up off the yard. Yuck! Some birds just aren't too bright! Glass throws them for a loop! Love the fun food!

Once, a strong wind caused a door to SLAM shut on two of my fingers that were still happily resting on the door frame. The loud noise that the door made combined with the expression on my face led Jeremy to think I had been shot. I'm not kidding. It took my breath away, so I couldn't even tell him what HAD happened for several minutes.
That was painful.

Once, I had a double ear infection that couldn't be treated with any powerful medicines because I was pregnant. I couldn't even move my head without wanting to cry. It lasted a week.
Very painful.

I went through 20 hours of labor with Mallory, including two hours of solid pushing. Then, they said they were going to cut me open.
EXTREMELY PAINFUL.

Today, I had my both of my legs waxed for the first time. I'll just let you guess which category this goes in.

yikes! ouch. all of those things!

I was just discussing my labor times with my mom so I am guessing you don't want to know about mine since yours are in a different category than mine. Well, not my last child but no cutting me open for her just all out screaming pain!!!

WOW!! Never had the legs done but a friend of mine gets the bikini done and says it bruises for days. Not sure why she gets it done then. Kinda ruins it right!! I think Indiana is so funny! I would love to tell people that. Frederic likes to tease people when they ask when I'm due and tell them I'm not pregnant! He then tells them the truth and he gets a kick out of it. It would be fun to tell people crazy names for the baby and see what they say. I've only got a couple days left maybe I'll try that!

We went hunting for bluebonnets just hours before the cold storm rolled in. So glad we did :) 93 pictures later and I still didn't get a "great" one of just Mal and Will together. So, I think we might head out again this weekend to try again if the weather is nice. I also want to try and find some patches that have lots of different flowers bunched together. It's just too much fun to play in God's rainbow of wildflowers and marvel at His beauty. Each petal, each leaf, each gorgeous color is His handiwork. While I crave getting a classic photo each year what I love more is studying the beauty and majesty of it all. What I love more than that is sharing it with my kids. I want to teach them from a very young age to see God in the world they live in. I want them to recognize His power in the little things such as bright blue flowers. Can you tell that I LOVE this time of year?!

Loved the pictures so much I showed Frederic and he loved them too!! No problem. I used to work for an interior designer before Frederic and I got married but we did commercial stuff...banks, churches, museums, etc. Not as fun as kids rooms!! I really tried to dig into Noelani and get some inspiration from her and run with it. She is really bright and fun and I thought this would be perfect for her and all the furniture pieces and bedding, etc. can last more than 2 years till she outgrows it all. Baby's room was Noelani's baby stuff so it's basically the same as it was for her except we changed the colors, added new curtains and got a new changing table. I'm glad I still love it!

That's what I love most about kids. It really makes you look at life differently to see how they think of things. I'm so glad God made children the way he did. It makes life so much fun. Frederic and her get into conversations like that alot and so I just sit back, listen and laugh while he's trying to keep a straight face! No Blueberry today so we're still waiting.
