This is a good reminder for me as I am counting down the days until summer, looking for a job and possibly a new place to live. I have a lot of things I am looking forward to but I also need to remember all the blessings I have to be thankful for! :-) Hope those of you who actually still get on here and read this are doing well!

Good for us all to remember. Seems we come from a world that always wants more, more, more to be happy. I am just as guilty.:-P Love you and pray that all works out for the best with the job situation!!

I LOVE how long the sun stays out these days. I still had time to enjoy the sun light after I get home from work and the grocery store today!
I am thrilled that today was TAKS and that means I am through with all of the "teaching for TAKS" and extra hours of TAKS tutorials each week!
I am so excited that I only have 28 days left of school... I can't remember ever being more excited for summer!
I am thankful that Travis and I got to spend three full days at my parents house this past weekend, we hadn't been able to do that in a while.
I am blessed.

Prayer Requests:
Lois Starling- We recently found out that Travis' grandma has cancer all throughout her stomach and abdomen. Please pray for her and our sweet family, she means so much to us!
Craig Clanton and Pat Riley- Two of my friends' fathers are struggling with their battle of cancer. Please pray for God's comfort during these difficult times.
Bill Etter- Please pray for my grandpa and my family as they help take care of him and various struggles they are dealing with.
My sweet sister- she is leaving soon to study Spanish in Costa Rica for 6 weeks this summer!
Wisdom- We have been planning on buying a house this summer but my job situation is unknown... please pray for wisdom while making these decisions.

Thank you, Lacy, for the prayers, it means so much. I literally feel myself being torn in two over it....in my heart I feel this is what we need to do and yet I am insecure. But I need to have faith that God will guide us in this.

That is great that you got to spend the weekend with your family. I know you must miss them. We will keep your family members in our prayers. I am sorry to hear of Travis' grandmother.

We will pray for your decision on the house front, too. But mostly for you and your job situation...I hope that you will be able to find something that you can do until things pick back up with the school system.

Love and miss you guys. I feel that we need to meet you guys, sometime, we don't live too far apart, afterall.:-) Perhaps after school is out.

Snow Day :-)

We woke up to lots of snow today. The sun has been shining and the snow is sparking, it is beautiful! It is almost two in the afternoon and there is still snow covering the rooftops and all of the cars in the parking lot. I didn't have to work and Travis was able to work from home so it has been a great day! I am thankful for our warm apartment to shelter us from the cold. I am heading to Tomball to visit my family and a friend for the weekend. I am glad to have the afternoon free to get a head start before the sun goes down tonight and the ice starts to freeze again. :-)

I hope everyone is dong well and staying warm!

Yes, we just kind of started thinking about it a few months ago. Actually, Kaley is the only one we are considering leaving in PS. I know that sounds strange but she is enjoying the athletics and all and says that if we pull her out then she will no longer have any peers her age...since there is noone her age at church, either. We may let her finish out junior high and see how it goes after that. But the other two girls and Jacob are what we are considering. Ok, I would look forward to your ideas.:-) Miss you!

No school for two weeks!!!

Celebrating our 2nd anniversary
Going to my parents' for 4 days!

Being counselors at winter camp

No.:( We ended up cancelling our party...three of the kids got stomach bugs that day. We were so disappointed, too. But we didn't want to spread germs. We will just have to postpone and do it later down the line. That was kind of her.:) It was nice to meet her and her husband, as well. Of course they spoke very highly of you and Travis but why would they not, you two are the best.:) It was nice visiting with them and they brought little gifts for all of the kids.:) I hope you enjoyed your break and winter camp. We miss you guys! We are going to have to have you over one of these weekends for dinner or lunch or something! Love you!

Thanksgiving is only a few days away! I'm thankful that I have the whole week off of school!! :-)

Tonight we are driving to my parents house. We will be there Wednesday, go to Beaumont Thursday, drive back to Tomball Thursday night and watch the Aggies beat the Longhorns. ;) Then Friday morning we will get up early and drive to San Antonio. We will have Thanksgiving w/ Travis' family on Friday and stay in San Antonio until Sunday. Lots of driving but we're looking forward to seeing everyone.

I've been neglecting pleo lately because the only computer we have right now is Travis' work laptop. I hope everyone is doing well! I'm going to get caught up and read all the white names.
