Well today is my birthday and usually I don't think anything about it. To me its just another day. But this year something seems a little bit different. I am not sure why but I have really been thinking about it a lot lately. This past year in my life has been a rough one. I won't go into detail but if you know me well enough you know what I am talking about. It has been a year of struggles. But that is what got me thinking. There were many times this year when I thought that things were never gonna get better. But in every tough situation I was in this past year there was something that got me through it. GOD. I look back at this time last year and I was miserable trying to deal with life's obstacles, but I prayed to God and he got me through it. I was able to overcome the difficult things in my life and have many blessings to show for it.

So today I consider my self blessed. I am blessed with a loving wife, a soon to be child, a loving family and many other things. And its all because of God.

So if you are reading this I want you to take a minute and thank God for you blessings, and even if things haven't been going your way thank him anyways. In the movie "Facing the Giants" they talk about praising God when they win and praising God when they lose. That is what we should strive to do in our lives, by praising him during the good and the bad.

Remember our God is an awesome God.

Well this past week Charlie went to the doctor and everything is looking fine. She is doing well and she got to hear the heartbeat once more. November the 6th we go to find out what we are having. Everyone keeps asking me what we want and my response is that I just want a healthy baby. But if I had to chose I would want a little girl, don't get me wrong if its a boy I will be very happy but the thought of having a girl that adores he daddy is something I have always wanted. It would just make my day to come home from work and have my little girl run into my arms. Well I just can't wait to find out what we are having so I can refer to it as something other than the baby. P.S. ROLL TIDE

We went to the doctor today and got to hear the heartbeat. It was definitely a good thing to hear. They told us that everything is looking good. We go back in four weeks and then the next visit after that we get to find out the sex of the baby. It is starting to get exciting.

On another note

I started refereeing little league flag football on saturday. I must say I have played a lot of sports over the years but that refereeing is some tough stuff. I refed 5 games and after running up and down the field I was give out. Not to mention the parents and coaches that were on my case about every call and non call. Lets just say I have a new found respect for officials.

Well Charlie went to the Doctor yesterday and she is 8 weeks pregnant. The have estimated a due date of March 23. So far everything is looking good and Charlie is feeling great. We go September 11th to the doctor and we get to hear the heartbeat. I am so excited and I still can't believe I am going to be a dad.
