I've had it that way since the beginning of Pleo 3. The "avatar" on my page isn't the avatar, but an img tag in the blurb. You can check (or uncheck, I forget) a box on the avatar setup page that causes it not to be displayed on your blog.

We are very excited! We don't know the city at all, so yall will have to shows us all the cool "Austiny" places to hang out. We aren't sure where we are going to be, but hoping not to be too far north into cedar park or round rock so we can come into the city easily. Hope yall are doing well!!! :-)
