Well, I almost made it a year between posts... there should be a record for that.
What a great day! I got to spend the day with Anna and we cleaned the house to get it ready so that we could be home and live for awhile... Does that even make a lick of sense?
Anyway... I was unloading the dishwasher for the second time today and had a couch full of laundry to fold. We had the radio on, and we were just singing and working. I noticed that it got kind of quiet, and with Anna that is a rare thing. When I walked out of the kitchen Anna was sitting proudly with her arms crossed... she had folded the entire load of towels...quite remarkably I might add. How eager she was to help her mommy. She even said, "Mommy, aren't I the bestest towel folder?" I quickly agreed. This was just a fun day even if we spent it cleaning. She really makes me smile, and Brian and I are really lucky that she is ours!

You know when I think back to the beginning of summer it seems like FOREVER ago...but then on the other hand it has flown by! Brian goes back to work full time starting Monday! That means... ding ding...I'm up ready or not. Will is starting football in 2 weeks and he will be practicing 6 days a week for 3 weeks then it will be cut down to 3 days a week. This will be our first season, but the good thing about this sport is that they respect Sunday's and Wednesday. I wish baseball did!
I think we will be going out of town this week-end for one last "family" outing until Thanksgiving. Brian works 7 days a week and is hardly home to see the kids...one that note...while I am here please pray for our family, and Brian specifically; it is extremely hard the older our children get for him to be away the amount of time he is. I know he must feel very alone. The kids are in bed by the time he gets home, and he leaves before they get up. He usually gets to see them on Saturday night and Sunday morning...but that is about it. He is such an wonderful dad! They are really lucky to have him. Just remember him in your prayers. Thanks ;) Anyway... Things are just going to be really crazy... but hey I love a challenge!

You know those kind days where you wake up and you can tell right then that things just aren't right??? Well that was today! Judith Viorst put it best when she describes a sweet little character named Alexander. I can really relate to that children's book... Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!Anna fell down the stairs this morning... while I was folding clothes, I rushed over to get her and during the rescue efforts... well, I fell with her in my arms and were in a heap at the foot of the stairs. Needless to say, I am sitting here in an empty house... (we were suppose to be having our group meeting tonight) with my ankle in a "soft cast" elevated of course... going NUTS!!! It has only been 8 hours since the fall! The word is ... I have a chip fracture... and I have to go to an orthopedic person on Friday. Really!!! I am suppose to stay off of my foot until I see the doctor again. I can't even make my own sandwich... and that STINKS! I would ask Brian to make it... but he doesn't get it quite right... so I settled for a piece of cheese. Have a great Tuesday... and if a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day visits you... I will be happy to listen. ;)

Tonight our neighbors came over and decided that we needed to go and get sno-cones! Well... we are having our group meeting tomorrow night at our house... and well I have all kinds of thing to do...but we went anyway! It was really fun. I think this place has the best ice!!! I think it must be shaved ice...not sure... but it melt in your mouth! I guess any ice does that though... it was softy...ANYWAY... I had a strawberry cheesecake... it sounds kind of gross I know... but it was really good!!!! Yummy! This is just one more reason why I love summer.
I hope we have a good turn out for our meeting tomorrow night. I am so excited!

Time really does fly the older you get! I really think this past week at Disney FLEW.... we had such a good time. There were many great things...I think my two favorite things on the trip were... Eating at Cinderella's Castle, and the (sort of new) Buzz Lightyear Ride! When Anna saw Cinderella it was priceless... Watching Brian and Will competing to see who could get the highest score...those two are so funny!
It just seems like the whole vacation was a blur! But a good one for sure. Now we are all coming down from all the excitement. I am having to cook again... there is a huge pile of laundry... the sheets need to be changed... back to reality huh... :)
HAPPY 4th OF JULY!
