Today was Cheyenne's 2nd birthday! She's come a long way!
Tomorrow is her party, and she is VERY excited. I'm not sure how many times she said "party" today. Dozens, I'm sure. Its a "Princess" themed party, and Cinderella is her favorite.
We are very pleased with her. She's been through a lot in 2 years, but she is doing so well now and brings much joy to our lives!
My mother in law, Sandy Thomas, asked me to update her sister, Marty Kibler's, condition. My brother in law, Chris, posted a vague "she's not doing well" post a few days ago, so Sandy asked me to fill in some details.
Marty found out a few days ago that she has some problems with her heart. They know she has some blockages. She went to meet with the surgeon today to discuss their options. Next Tuesday, she is going to be having a heart catheterization to examine the damage. The surgeon believes they caught the problem in time to avoid any major surgeries at this time. They are discussing the possibility of a stint, but possibly even only treating with medication at this point. This is certainly better than the way it could have gone.
That's pretty much what the family knows at this point. I'm sure Marty would appreciate prayers on her behalf at this time.
I downloaded the "I Am..." series that Kris presented at Eastside in Bowling Green a couple years ago and listened to it while I was working last night. He did an excellent job, and its well worth your time to download and listen to it if you're so inclined.
Another good series I listened to over the last couple of nights was a series by John Gibson dealing with the House church movement. It is also well worth your time. Those audio files can be found here.
