Hello everyone! Hope everyone is well. I just returned from lectures about a week ago and had such a wonderful time : ) It was such a huge spiritual boost that I needed. So great to see all my family and friends and spend some time catching up! Ya know, many times I briefly think about moving to Tampa.....and then reality hits me and I say NO very quickly! Couldn't stand that terrible weather in the warmer months. Although, the weather was perfect while I was down there. It was in the 70's and sunshiny every day. Ahhhhh. Then I came back to Chi-town and we got about 10 inches of snow! Call me crazy, but I LOVE it. I like variety, what can I say. I really have always loved the snow. It is just so beautiful and magical. I feel sorry for the states and areas that were hit harder than us. PA got hit pretty hard and that can be miserable. Sooo, anyway, this is a very light-hearted post, but wanted to say, "HI" to everyone again : )
OH...and I wore my Manning jersey proudly on that most wonderful Sunday night! Abby was all smiles...hehe! GO 'HEAD COLTS!! GO 'HEAD DUNGY!!!
If you didn't get to see the game (Colts vs. Pats), you missed an amazing game! Bears vs. Saints was also fun, but I wasn't able to watch much. (I'm not a huge Bears fan anyway) I am so happy about my Colts: ) And, for all of you who called Peyton a choke artist....this one's for YOU!
I'm sure that Indy is going just as crazy as the Chicagoans are here. Fun, fun, fun.
Ciao for now....Abby
Hey again everyone! Wow, Wicked was INCREDIBLE....so much more incredible than I even expected! It was my favorite musical I have ever seen and I've seen some pretty good ones (Lion King, PHantom, Beauty and the Beast). The story was not what I was thinking it would be at all... VERY surprising. I recommend it highly if you haven't seen it yet : ) Plus, the greatest aspect is it is clean. I will be watching Wizard of Oz again very soon b/c it sure has been a while since I last saw it!!!
It's great to hear from everyone! I miss you all and hope you are all staying warm as I am trying to.
Keep looking up!
I know it has been FOREVER since I last posted. I'm no good at this. I am so sorry that I haven't been better about pleonasting. I hope to get better soon!
My holidays were great, but quick. I am excited to start a new yr. in the Lord's service : )
I am really pumped tonight b/c tomorrow I will get the opportunity to see Wicked in downtown Chicago w/ my little sister!!! We are sooo very excited and both of us almost have the soundtrack memorized. Emmy has beat me and I think DOES have the entire thing put to memory!
Okdoke, gonna stop for now. Hope all are well and I will write more in the next week.
....is probably one the character traits I despise the most. Maybe it's b/c I am a passionate person and believe there should be a considerable amount of passion in a Christian's life. I had an experience recently where I witnessed apathy in a person at work. I don't know her all that well, but we have spoken several times as we are working. She told me that her daughter was expecting her first child in a couple months. The more we talked the more I realized that her daughter is only 19 or 20 and is not married. She stated that her daughter was afraid about the reaction of her dad when he was told the news. This lady said that she told her daughter..."You know honey, these things happen. It will be alright and your father will be alright." There was no sign of disappointment or anger in this lady's voice, and, honestly it really upset me. I was mad......not at this woman, but at how sin is not looked at as sin anymore. I was mad that as each yr passes our society continues to slap Christ in the face saying that His most awesome sacrifice is worthless. I hate apathy and hope and pray that the Lord will continue to give me passion for His word and for doing what is right. All praise to our gracious Lord!
Keep looking up!
