I DID IT!!!
Today is day 100.
20lbs gone by just changing the way I eat! I'm down three sizes. I cannot tell you the last time I was in a 6.. its been *that* long!
I feel great! I'm so proud of myself for sticking this out even though it was very difficult at times. Its been an eye opening experience.
I plan on continuing with things but adding in a sweet treat now and then ;) but definitely not going back to eating all the garbage I was eating before (not that we were eating HORRIBLY... but not as good as now!)
"When you know better, you do better."
And I am doing better!!

Have you ever been so close to someone (not related to you) that you can just *tell* when something isn't right??
Back story: 2 years ago I had a friend and sadly our amazing friendship ended and She fell away from the church shortly after, left her husband (not sure why) and became an atheist.
She has ALWAYS been on my mind ever since the day we last spoke. But there have been two separate times where my heart has been heavy with sadness regarding her. The first time it was when she left her husband and the second time started a few days ago. I will admit to Facebook stalking her when I got that first initial feeling (and that's when I learned she left her husband and became an atheist.)
After several days of her being heavy on my mind, another friend just messaged me asking it I heard about her. Yes, I went stalking again and found out some not so great information regarding her.... She has a major head injury from the fall. There was bleeding on the brain, two broken heels, injured eye. Her parents have her heavily sedated at this point.
My heart hurts SOOOOO badly. I love her like a sister regardless of how our friendship ended. I often think back about what I could have done/ said to her that may have prevented her from forsaking God.
The only thing stopping me from driving 3 hours to Dallas to go and see her is I don't know where she is. (like what hospital).
I pray for her constantly and do NOT want her to be lost forever.
I'm asking for prayers for her to be ok and to recover from this!!
I thank you for prayers!

...79 more to go. At least 6 lbs down too!!
This
100 Days of Real Food challenge is going GREAT!!! The only downside is eating out with everyone after church on Sundays.
Its totally an eye opener when it comes to how much sugar we consume as Americans. No wonder this country is so obese. If only people would take a moment and REALLY look at how much sugar they intake for 1 week, Im sure it would scare them!!!
Sugar is in EVERYTHING!!!!

I made some homemade, sugar free brownies that tasted rather scrumptious...the second time around ;) I had to tweak the recipe but they turned out delish!
WHEN IT COMES TO FOOD::
Be aware of what you eat. Read the ingredients. KNOW the ingredients. Sacrifice. Don't be lazy.
Until next time....

Last year flew by in a jiff and I suspect this year will go by just as quickly if not faster.....
This new year brought on the
100 Days of Real Food Challenge.
My sister is also doing this with me so I have at least one accountability person :P This is definitely going to be a change of pace. We dont really eat a long of "junk" but the "good" things we do eat still aren't good for us ;)
We went grocery shopping yesterday and bought everything we need to get started. I cleaned out my pantry/ frige last night and one of my lucky friends will be getting all my throw aways. hahaha
Lets just say compared to times past, my pantry is naked even AFTER going shopping!!
I have several snacks and quick breakfast items that I plan to make today (if I have time, if not it will be tomorrow).
I'm really excited about this!!
Along with the 100 days of real food challenge, Husband and I are going to take on the P90X challenge too!
Here's to getting fit and healthy in 2013!!

I hope this new year brings each of you happiness and lots of joy! Thank God for your blessings!
Until next time...
