Ever have a problem you can solve :/

You got of love these! I have been at a new startup plant in Sealy working on their complete IT Infratructure off and on since Janurary. We have complete wieless inside and outside the plant. The wireless voice phones just don't want to work with good quality. We have hit this from different angles and still cannot find the reason. I hate that I cannot solve the issue. We now have a wireless survey and spectrum analyzer tool to hopefully figure it out.

Have you ever run into a problem you could not solve?

What was the problem?
  • AlanL
I've had a lot of problems that I thought I wouldn't be able to solve, but it always eventually comes together.

Maybe I'm a luddite, but I always go wired instead of wireless if it's practical to do so. Landlines work much better than cell phones! I even have a network drop in the living room for the TiVo. Of course, you're saving lots and lots of money by using wireless. Hope the spectrum analyzer helps you out. Do they have repeaters?

i always try to tell myself that there is always a solution to any problem i have. i've determined that it isn't always the case. sometimes there just isn't anything more you can do. with other sorts of issues (not job related), i've learned that somethings are outside of your control and putting it in God's hands is the way to go. i know that doesn't necessarily apply to your situation, but those are my thoughts.

arrrgg! this problem is consuming me. yesterday, i ended up getting a bad headache around noon working on this. got home and laid down until dinner. it finally went away while at church last night.

the spectrum analyzer is showing noise interference, but i can't determine what the noise is. the survey did provide vital information for holes that we have in the wireless coverage, which is good and we can fix those. i found that i did not set antenna gains for the different antennas and turned off portions of the radios that weren't being used. hope this improves some areas.

Crazy Dreams

I have always loved Carrie Underwood since she first appear on American Idiol. She has a natural singing voice that just captivates you. Hear are the lyrics to Crazy Dreams.

Hello you long-shots, you dark horse runners,
Hair brush singers, dash-board drummers,
Hello you wild magnolias, just waiting to bloom.
There's a little bit of all that inside of me and you,
Thank God even crazy dreams come true.

I've stood at the bottom of some walls I thought I couldn't climb.
I felt like Cinderella at the ball, just running out of time.
So I know how it feels to be afraid, and think that it's all gonna slip away
Hold on, Hold on.

Here's to you free souls, you fire-fly chasers.
Tree climbers, porch swingers, air guitar players.
Here's to you fearless dancers, shaking walls in your bedrooms
There's a lot of wonder left inside of me and you,
Thank God even crazy dreams come true

Never let a bad day be enough, to go and talk you into giving up.
Sometimes everybody feels like you, oh, feels like you, just like you, yeah.

I've met some go-getters, some difference makers.
Small town heros, and big chance takers.
I've met some young hearts with something to prove.
Oh yeah.

Here's to you long-shots, you dark horse runners
Hair brush singers, dash-board drummers
Here's to you wild magnolias, just waiting to bloom.
There's a little bit of all that inside of me and you.

Thank God even crazy dreams come true.
Thank God even crazy dreams come true, yeah

While watching movies I LOVE to eat popcorn with lots of butter and that nasty but oh so good orange salt with milk duds. I like to warm the milk duds so that they are chewy and mix well with the popcorn. :)

    i love Hot Tamales.
and on the soda side, Big Red is my favorite.
    Don't like popcorn that much.
^^by the way, Linsey puts ketchup on her Chinese food, so that Milk Dud action is par for the course.

Cashews are my favorite nuts, but I like peanuts. I especially like honey roasted peanuts! I like Gardetto's Snak-ens, and Chex Mix, just about any kind of Sun Chips. For candy, chocolate covered raisins, Snickers.

LOL, Jarred, my palette has matured. I no longer put ketchup on my Chinese food. I use spice mustard now. Emily taught me about popcorn and milk duds. :)
