Labor Day Weekend

Hi again! It's been a while since I updated, and I'm not doing anything overly important today, so I decided to get on Pleonast.
Mandy left yesterday, and terminated our lease behind my back. We were on good terms, but when she found out that the apartment complex would allow her to go without much hassle, she chose the less responsible route. I'm looking legally into this, because originally I'd been told this was illegal by the complex manager.
Nonetheless, I'm moving out of the complex and into a house. I'm subletting the smaller bedroom to a friend on a month to month agreement. I can pay for the house myself, but I prefer a bit of extra security. On top of all that, I'm picking up a waitressing job in town for a while... probably 6 months tops- so if something else dramatic happens, I won't be stuck so severely financially crippled.
Pray for this situation, please! I know it is not life or death, but to continue on with my career, I need to be able to stay in the area. Moving back home will put me back at square 1. Whereas here I'm looking at a major salaried promotion within the next 6 months.

My cats are doing well... this house has a backyard, and seeing as how they've had a blast here in Cullman this last week, that backyard is a huge plus for them. :-)

I'm also looking to start an herb garden this next spring- any advice would be awesome!

Etsy and I may be best friends soon! I've been debating making an account for quite some time now to sell some of my smaller projects on. I'm working up a stash of items for the Christmas season. :-) Snowflake ornaments are my favorite.

Well, I guess that's about all in my life right now! How are things for everyone else? Any major plans today?

And life goes on...

So, there's been a lot of excitement recently around the Timberfalls residence. Mandy (my main roomie) is thinking seriously about moving back to Indy... which would be amazingly awesome. :) I like to live in a semi-clean environment, and Alli is way more conducive to that idea.

I got promoted at work!!! I am getting 40 hours a week working at the UAB store in the morning, and Hoover in the afternoon. Keeps me busy and entertained.

Chuck is stuck at boot camp for a while longer. He has a pretty icky hip injury, apparently. He's in the medical conditioning and rehab platoon. Fun times.

So, I suppose that's everything on my end... what's been up with everyone else?

Freya's gone.

4:00 pm today my little white kitty passed. :( I'm really going to miss her. We only had her for about 3 months, but she'd been a stray at Mandy's old apartment for way longer. She was a sweetheart the entire time, and never cried, not even in the last few minutes of her life. She always got in the way, no matter what you were doing. She'd be up in your lap while you were trying to write a letter, or she'd think that your typing wasn't good enough, and she'd try to add in her few cent's worth. Everybody that met her loved her. She had this funny purr/meow that she used, and was half deaf, so when Sammy hissed at her, she'd just stare at him until he got freaked by her non-response and run off. All the attention from her got annoying, her hearing problem was frustrating, but somehow we still loved her dearly. She'll be missed in the household.

I was unable to afford having her Euthanized, but this morning was supposed to be her appointment, so at least it was only a few more hours before she passed.

Meh. I did everything I could for her, and she didn't really seem to die in pain...

I'm sorry about your kitty. We are in Athens. Jeb is going to start working with the church at Westview.

Roll Blackwater Roll...

This post is going to be one big run on paragraph- I'm writing this on my phone. :-)
Just kidding! Miraculously figured out how to make the paragraph break...
Well, this week has been busy. I'm at home celebrating Dad's 50th tonight, and headed back to Birmingham tomorrow morning to get a washer and dryer. :-)
Hope everyone's weekend goes well and you all stay safe!

The cat is better, and so are my sales.

Today has been dramatic. I got a deal with Books a Million that will bring in $500 next week alone. That, plus a couple of other orders, will start a trend that is going to put me at a good $1000/wk average for the last couple of weeks, and hopefully for several more to come. I'm excited to see a bunch of hard work actually paying off, finally.

On the other side of positive, I bought a bunch of cat stuff today. Kitty milk and nutritional supplements to be force fed to Freya, amongst other things. After 4 droppers full, she's actually starting to get active, and I'm listening to Mandy having to holler at her right now as she's taking a flea bath. Now Freya's whining. Never thought I'd be glad to hear such frustrated sounds coming from my cat.
Danielle's vet said that the flea problem is probably causing anemia in Freya. We'll see. If that's the case, she should be better soon. If not, at least we tried everything we could to make her life easier the last few weeks.

I am procrastinating the cleaning of my house. Once I eat dinner, I'll be spending 4 hours scrubbing away in the bathroom and kitchen, and that's just the start of a long, drawn out process.

Alli's actually coming home tonight. I prefer cleaning with someone to talk to, or music to blast, though I'd prefer the talking. That'll help with the monotony.

Onward to dinner...

I figured that's what you meant, but the book thing crossed my mind. It wouldn't be the first time I'd found out that one of my friends is also a published author!
