Said it once...
...and i'll say it again.
I am really proud and amazed by the young people at Fry Road church of Christ.
The maturity, the strength, the honesty, the spirituality of all these young ones is amazing.
From the high schoolers down to the preschoolers, it's just amazing.
I'm sure their parents had something to do with that also.
They have to be such an encouragement to one another.
And i know they're an encouragement to me.
Anybody on my friend list that fits in this category, keep it up because you strengthen us every day.
Good job.
May God continue to bless you.

Yosemite
I mentioned going to Yosemite to hike Half Dome to Jay a couple of weeks ago...tagging it on to the end of our baseball trip.
He really jumped on the idea.
Knowing him for approx. 12 years now I should have known he was gonna jump on this thing gung-ho.
He's really got me even more pumped about it than ever.
So we were discussing preparation:
types of shoes
camelbak water bladder
food/snacks
etc.
...and man, i got light-headed just thinking about hiking that trail...
...seeing God's creation, 8800 ft., viewing the High Sierra in all directions, thinking about how God controls it all...
what a beautiful thought.
And I'm gonna get to view it all with 2 great Christian friends...I am so STOKED!
...and if you know Jay, you know he's gonna involve baseball somehow...throwing the ball on the summit.
It doesn't get too much better than that in our earthly lives.

my back
ouch!
my back is killing me...again.
it's like a pinched nerve on my left side, at my hip/back.
i worked all day in the yard/garage yesterday.
today i can barely bend over or twist.
taking meds and resting.
i know, i know...whine whine whine
rest and medication should help.

i love hiking. we've done hiking in colorado, arizona and wyoming. i am hoping that we can go to california this summer. i would love to hike half dome; very scenic. a lot of people backout once they get started.
i don't think you want to be on meds transversing some of those trails. start working out 3 to 4 hours per day; you can do it. -
if you want to start getting ready for half dome, maybe we can do some days hikes in the hill country or overnighters. there is a lot of trails for conditioning that go to a level 4.
go here Texas Trails to check out all the different trails.
I have always wanted to get into some type of racing either drag or road coarse. The eninge is capable to 1000hp, but I want around 750hp. With the correct gearing and this amount of HP, it should be capable of 180 to 190. The Big Bend Unlimited is 160 and above.
