Almost a Decade

My birthday was this week. My girls Lindsey and Megan came home and spent a couple of days with me. We had a wonderful time! I was completely surprised since I had no idea they were coming. I had many calls from friends. However one particularly stands out. He asked me how old I was 50 or 51? Nope I replied I'm almost a decade 49 today. My husband and groom gave me a beautiful card and a Bookmark titled Soul Mates with the following inscription: "From that first moment, we made a connection, and I knew our relationship was meant to be. Thank you for all that you are, and for reminding me each day of why I love you. The bond we have found is as everasting as the spirit." The little things move me the most and make my heart soar.

I'm so glad you posted this - I've added you to my annual calendar so I can remember to send my dear cousin a card next year! I'm glad my cousin's husband loves her so well. She deserves it!

John's Bride

Bride. This past May my husband John and I have been married 25 years. He still refers to me as his Bride to all our friends. I love it! It reminds me of his love for me. I feel humbled when he refers to me this way. How many men do you know that think of their wives in that way? Looking back on our wedding ..... it was eventful because of our friends and families and our life together has been filled with much the same. I hope to share my life with you and hopefully you will share yours with me too.

You guys exude love. It's obvious how great a marriage you guys have and how much honor for one another lives in your hearts. It's very sweet.

I’ve been burning my candle and thinking of you and your generous hospitality, Cuz. What a grand time we had reconnecting with you and talking over all things big and small! You are such a dear and all the efforts you undertook to prepare for our visit were much, much appreciated. It’s a lot of work, even when you are not in the middle of home improvement projects! You prepared a yummy food and gave us a comfy bed. Thanks! We’ll remember with fondness the beauty of your home, our laughter, and our drive through Amish country. Say thanks to John for us, and give Tinkerbell scratch around the ears. Love you, Steph!
