How awesomest would it be if 9 guys (and the women of their choice), who have lived in Suite 9 in C dorm in the last 9 years ,planned a group wedding on 9/9/9 at 9 pm????????? It's got to be a city with 9 letters. What about Nashville!!!!!!!!! I will be the first to sign on. Now I need to get busy and find me a woman.........If you guys need any help I've got my Girls gone Will pics posted on facebook. (Forget that, most of them are married already). |

It must be me! I went to visit Alabama FC camp Friday. It is the most beautiful of all the camps I've seen. On Lake Martin with lovely cabins set among the towering pines. Anyway,
Amy Vavra (often known as Zarzar) needed to leave camp at 4 a.m. Sat. in order to get some of the camp friends to the Bham airport two hours north of camp. Then she would have to continue her travels and go south for a 9-10 hour drive to Tampa!! I graciously volunteered to take that burden away from her so she could be on her merry way to Tampa with the remaining camp friends. Now I am her hero and the story will soon be told in the gates of the camps all over this land! I am willing to accept all the thanks and praise I know I will be receiving from people like Janice Nowlin and Emily Davis. If you haven't gotten to know them, you should. They truly fit the description of the worthy woman in Proverbs 31. |

Everyone needs to get off their tail and sign up to go to the TexasRockLock the Fourth, aka TRL IV. You have until July 4th to do so.
Perhaps you may think that you have been to enough events involving Christians hanging out and doing cool things? Maybe you went to WARBIS in 2004 or 2005? Maybe you have been to a Pleonast Bash? Maybe it was a NINE PARTY? Maybe you were at Barefoot in November? Maybe you used a thunderpot at Thunder over Louisville? Maybe you Romped to the Levee? Maybe you dressed up for an Auburn Halloween Party? Maybe you've been to the Singing at Kleinwood? Maybe you have ridden THE BEAST at King's Island in the front seat of the last car on the night that all of FC Ohio Camp is there? Maybe you went to the Passover Party in Bowling Green, KY in 2003 or 2004? Maybe you have been to a Memorial Day FC Friends concert? Maybe you've been to Higher Ground at the Smoky Mountains for a week? Maybe you went to a Bible study at Ryan Hasty's old house? Maybe you've hiked Mount LeConte? Maybe you've been to the Shumake Bible Study? Maybe you've been to the Omega Coffeehouse? Maybe you've been to Devo in the 'Boro? Maybe you've been to a Suite 9 Root Beer Drinking Party?
But let me ask you a question, can you slam the jam? TRL IV is an event to mark on your calendars and ATTEND! Stay up all night and climb rocks and play human foosball with your friends! Please put this on your list of stuff to do before you die.
In other news,
Lolzies!!1@! is a webcomic that Charlie Trotter puts together. They are all amusing and this weeks was particularly hilarious! Especially if you like Brian Regan, Bill Cosby, or Jerry Seinfield. Check it out, right now!!1@!

I've found that having more money means you spend more money, give a little more away, and save a little more. Not much different from college except the junk around me now is about 20 years newer.
Lk 16:10
I just got a phone call from some counselors from Dry Creek Camp that really made my night. They wanted some help on pranking the camp friends. I'm not saying that I gave them any, but it was a very entertaining call. I wish them the best.
You know what, this is a strange post, I'm just gonna open it up for questions. |

Numerous tornadoes swept through AR, MS, AL, and TN late Tuesday night leaving much destruction and taking many lives. My hometown of Lafayette, TN was among the hardest hit with 14 deaths. President Bush is scheduled to visit Lafayette tomorrow to survey the damage and show some care.
My mom was alone and in the hallway when the tornado came through. The damage done to our property includes a missing barnroof, barn doors imploded, damage to items in the barn that the doors took out, 5 uprooted pine trees(20-40ft tall), the columns on the front of the house are gone(not structural members), garage is missing some shingles. My mom is fine for which I'm most thankful. There is junk and trash from who knows where all over the fields and yard. The electricity and phone lines are supposed to be operational again on Friday.
It is quite strange that such a huge event happened at home and I am not there. Hearing "Lafayette" mispronounced and seeing reports from Macon County on national news is really a strange feeling. I am trying to comprehend the tragedy, but I cannot do it.
I am going home tomorrow and Saturday some folks are coming over to help clear out the backyard and clear the debris from our fields. If you would like to come and help out, then come on! Rosemary said that we cannot have too many people to come. The community is strong and we will be fine, but I would appreciate all the prayers for the people of Lafayette to look to God. Thank you! |
