I have been tagged so I guess I am supposed to list 10 things that are weird about me. Ok, here goes...
1. I sucked my thumb until I was in the 6th grade.
2. I love to eat unusual food, ostridge, octopus, snails, alligator, etc.
3. I was born in Canada, (that really isn't weird)
4. I am afraid of thunder and lightning (although getting more used to it now that I am in Oklahoma)
5. I love brusselsprouts.
6. I ate liver a lot while I was pregnant.
7. People say I sneeze funny and it sounds like a cat coughing up a hairball.
8. I cry while watching just about any movie that is sad, especially if there are children or animals in it. right Val?
9. I need it to be very quiet to fall and stay asleep.
10. I love to play with kid's toys, color and play games.
Yes...#8 is very true and very weird. I've seen it with my own two eyes.
#5 is not only weird but nasty. Remember the year you wanted to bring brussel sprouts to Thanksgiving? I told you to go ahead but only bring enough for one. YOU! I wasn't even going to let you feed them to your own children. That's just mean.
um ... #5 is gross? I'd say #6 is the gross one. and I love coloring, too. I never do it, because there are never coloring books and crayons around here. but just give me a couple years and I'll be teaching Kennedy how to do it!
yes, #8 I've witnesed countless times, #6 must have only happened with Stuart and Philip - cause i'm normal, and I remember reaping the rewards of your #5...we don't share the same love in that area!
It has been a long time since I put a blog on here so I thought I would share my darling granddaughter with all of you. When the kids came in June Elaine, Sadie and me (Nana) went shopping. Sadie is a good little shopper. See for yourselves. Be sure to check our Sadie's cute little flipflops.
I didn't know that till I already did mine. So mines not that weird and I thought you were supposed to do the same topics as the person who tags you. But I was wrong, and then I didn't want to redo it. So ya have Fun!
I am so excited because Philip, Elaine and Sadie are coming for a visit tomorrow. I feel like a child right before Christmas. As I stood at the sink handwashing all the little toys I saved from my boys growing up, I couldn't help thinking about all of you that have helped me move over the years. I remember getting a lot of jokes about all the things that I saved. Tomorrow it will all be worth it. I saved my favorite "Fisher Price" toys knowing one day I would have grandchildren to share them with. Soon what was just a dream for the future will all come true and these cherished treasures will once again have tiny little hands playing with them. It is hard to wait. So a very special thank you to all of you who helped me move from home to home, for lifting and sorting those boxes that as of tomorrow will bring so much joy to my new home. It was all worth it, well, at least for me. Thanks again.
Andrew... if you haven't learned this already, get used to it now: you become WAY less important once a baby arrives in the family. trust me. now that Kennedy is here, I've learned that I'm no longer the most important one in the family. RUDE!
Now I feel so ashamed for throwing away all those boxes on moving days while you weren't watching. I'm glad that a few of them managed to slip through.
OK. I only WANTED to throw them away. She wouldn't let me actually do it!
Someone told me you live in Oklahoma... Please pardon my asking, and feel free to say no to this, but please read my blog and let me know if this is something you or someone you know might be able to help with. Thank you!
As some of you may know I am currently in southern California helping out with my mom while she undergoes chemo therapy for ovarian cancer. While the side effects don't seem as severe as some I have heard of she just doesn't seem to be doing well. We are having a lot of difficulty getting her to eat which has us very concerned. Please keep my mom in your prayers. Thanks everyone.
Hi you don't know me, I'm Deb Griffin, my hubby Joe preaches at Fort Scott, KS his first work was in Turley, OK I was 19 & Joe was 21. We were the only young couple at that congregation so the young couples at East Central would invite us to all their activities. Gene Burnell's mom attened with us. I saw that you attend Woodland Hills in Tulsa. We have dear friends who attend there, Ron & Wanda Richardson! Gwen & Gene Burnell use to attend there. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. My SIL had Ovarian cancer and it was contained within a large tumor. But it made her feel just nausea, that was before it was removed. She didn't have to have chemo, because they felt they got it all. Add chemo to that mixture and I can see where she is not hungry. Chemo with everyone that I've been close to actually affected their taste of foods. Unless it was very sour, sweet or spicy. How long has she been on the chemo? She is very blessed that you are able to go and stay with her! She as well as her family will be in my prayers.
She is spoiled....by 2 people Nana and Grandma! I take no responsibility for her spoilage. For those who don't know it, Mom flew out to Washington on a moments notice when she heard I was in the hospital. For 2 weeks she was a full time cook, housekeeper, dogsitter and Nana! Elaine and I couldn't have done it without you Mom! Thanks!
You are so welcome washouglian. I loved being in Washington with the kids. I have never enjoyed domestic life so much. In fact, I actually baked cookies. Hard to believe I know. Sadie was such a delight to spend time with and is so cute.
Hey! I didn't know you were on here! I learn about someone new every day...I too am like "herbs" I CANNOT get my pictures on...can I please get instructions too? I can get a new room and a photo, then I don't know how to get them onto my blog? and how do you get them so big? thanks!
