So I got on facebook I like it more, I'm not much of a blogger, but posting I can do. Anyhow Tim has accepted a Phd position here at the university. So that means we'll be in Fayetteville for at least three more years and when were done Tim will be Dr. Morgan =). This weekend we are going camping, I'm super excited!!!! Oh Nov. the 15th we are doing an Urban Adventure Race. It involves knowing how to use a utm with a topo map, compass, hiking, biking, ropes, and more. We are pretty excited about it but I might die, I haven't been training like I should. Tim really isn't being competitive at all so you know it's just for fun.
Well thats that talk to you again in four months =).
Congrats on getting to stay! I know that is what you were wanting originally. Have fun the 15th! I got plans that day...not quite as physical though;o)
My new love is mountain biking, for a long while Tim tried to get me to go but I was like "no, I'll wreck and hurt myself". I don't know what happened I guess it was searching for a fun way to get exercise. I found out that after I got on the correct size bike for me I was very comfortable. (Now I"m getting too comfortable and will probably end up wrecking and hurting myself but it will be fun =)) For a while I was putting close to 20 miles a week on my bike and now well lets just say I miss it. I've also decided where ever we move to I hope to find a bike shop to hire me as a mechanic/sales person, well maybe. It's nice to go into a shop and have a woman to talk to. I like to be able to fix our bikes instead of paying someone else to do it. Eventually we will probably start road biking as well because when the trails are wet and muddy we aren't suppose to ride on them.
Oh and of coarse an update on the job search we have finished applying to MD and now Kansas City, MO. A guy who recently graduated it took him 8 mths. to find a job, so we're just going with it. Tim's getting the cover letter down pat and I think he still wants to do a bit with his resume after that the process of apply might go a bit quicker. As always information on the areas applied to is welcomed, especially info. on congregations.
Careful on that mountain bike, my dad flipped over the handlebars and broke the ball of his shoulder. If you moved to Kansas City we could meet up in St Louis and hang out, how cool would that be? :)
So Charla is home, still dealing with the emotions.
Umm...Tim Defended his thesis =), turned in the final paper today. He is going to be working at the U of A until he gets (as he puts it) his "career job". Just so you people in PA know; he's applying for a job in Baltimore, MD. Thought that would make some of you happy. We can all pray but I feel that some of the prayers will be conflicting, we found out some of the people here are praying he'll find something locally. I'm just glad I have my husband in the evenings now =)!!!
How about I just pray that God has everything work out for the best, no conflicting prayers there, huh? And hey, this is a stretch, but remember when you got Hurst's bible rebound? Do you have ANY clue who did it? (I know you had to send away for it, but...) Anyway, glad you all are doing well. We've just moved to Texas and are enjoying it much.
Oh how exciting Tiffany! did you know A & S these folks are moving this way too? We will pray for both of you anyway. Thesis defending down, now onto establishment years!
I think but I'm not for certain that Charla is home now. Her body really went through a lot physically and I can't imagine how hard this is emotionally. Thank you all for prayers, please continue as she still has a lot of healing to go through. Knowing so many prayers for her were being offered was/is strengthening. She is one of the most beautiful people I've met and I'm just so heart broken that this happened to her. It truly is trials like these that test our faith and trust in God and oddly enough He is our greatest source of strength.
One good thing in all of this Charla's sister Katie came to services this evening, she seems open.
Now for the bad stuff, baby Max passed away this morning. We found out just before services this evening.
Please cont. to pray for Charla, she is VERY VERY ill right now. They are trying to induce labor, her blood pressure is going up again, she has blurred vision. She is in very bad condition. Please Pray!! Thank you all.
Oh Tiffany. I just ache for her. Losing a baby at 5 months like that is so very very hard. I remember and hurt with her. I will be praying because her pain and loss will be with her all her life. Call us.
