oh hey ^^, I can totally relate to standing out in the crowd with the "wrong" colors! I wore a Cowboys sweatshirt to class last night and thought I was gonna get thrown out! :)
Y'all are gonna have a blast!
YOU are the encouraging ones! Thank YOU! My girls and I have grown to love you and Melissa and think the world of you both! I think I can speak for Denny too! ;)
Awesome lesson this morning! Praise God for His love!
i was so excited when i saw your names lit up, hoping for pics. heard you guys had a bit of a scare the other day, we are praying for ya'll. we should talk soon, only 2 weeks till our little bub is due :) can't believe it!!!!
Any of you out there have brothers or sisters? I know we are brothers and sisters united through Christ's blood, but do you have brothers born of the same father or of the same mother? If you said yes....please take some time today to pray for them. In becoming a Christian and continued growth, this is an area of concern for me. I have 3 bothers and a sister ( and in all summed up with step-siblings I have a total of 4 bro's and 3 sisters ). In all anxiousness to share God's wonderful plan for man.....I feel at times I have dropped the ball when it comes to encouraging siblings and BEING an example.
Have I "chosen" to talk to others because "I" feel it might be easier/less confrontational.....yes. That it might cerate a "fight".....yes. That it might not make the next visit as comfortable as it has been in the past......yep.
Family is just different sometimes. Why is that? I LOVE my brother Adam...I mean LOVE that man....but for some reason I have not devoted the time and energy to encourage him and study with him as I have with others. Nathan as well....Matt as well....
This will be an area of improvement, but when we live at the distances we do...I really feel that every opportunity I have (or have been given) may be one more checked off the list of those opportunities left. I pray God gives that increase.
Kind of lost on this.....I guess I feel as if I lost track of my brothers in the aspect of encouraging and talking about Christ with them since becoming a Christian.
Please take some time today to pray for your siblings, as I will be praying for mine. Pray for mine too if you will:
Nathan Rosengarten
Adam Rosengarten
Matt Rosengarten
Katy Rosengarten
Brian McBride
I have to admit I have been blessed with a family that has grown up in the church. Both of my brothers are faithful Christians. We all need prayers though, and I would be happy to pray for your sibs. Pray for Denny's too. He talks about the same struggles. I'll also keep you in my prayers, that God will give you the boldness you need to reach out to your brothers and sisters.
I know what you mean, but it is never to late to start, I know I haven't always been, wasn't always a graet example, but it's not what you did in the past but what you do know, and never ever underestimate the power of prayer, i'm convince brian is still alive because of it.
hey there, well we can try adn talk this week if you want, let me knwo when is good for you guys, wanna see that baby bump :) i hope that you guys are taking lots of pics cause i wanna see them too
Hey, looks like I won't get to meet your mom this time! I'm so sorry! I hope she's had a great visit with y'all and can come again soon! Safe travels to her!
We all need to be better examples and sowers of the word, I am extremely bad at "sowing" to the world. I ask for your prayers sincerely that I may be bold and productive in the Lord's kingdom as someone who can talk to the people in the world around us everyday. I feel really ashamed at how bad I am at this!!! It is our duty to Christ... A) we should want to do this for God B) we will be judged on our efforts of sowing. We need to wake up and focus!! At other times I feel, maybe I am not ready yet in my Christian development to teach, that I have a lot to learn and practice more consistently first before the Spirit uses me to teach others.
I also consider that, we do all have different roles in the body of Christ and so we are going to be better at some areas of Christian service than we are at other areas. That does not give us an excuse not to teach the lost on some level though, no matter if you are an "eye" or a "foot".
Melissa is the most, caring, loving, and giving person I know. Her love for the Lord always amazes me (gets stronger day by day!), and she somehow places other needs (seemingly mine.....a lot) ahead of hers...without hesitation.
My heart always beats a bit faster when she looks into my eyes, and I cannot remember a time in which she has not taken my breath away when walking into a room. Her sheer beauty is enough to paint the picture I am trying to describe to you this very moment. As she lies asleep here next to me, I re-count the thousands of kisses that she has given me in this life, and I thank God for Him allowing me to be on the receiving end of all of them.
How can I be this fortunate? How can I be the man she chose to be with until death do us part? I thank God every morning I wake up....for she is lying in my arms.......and I remain the happiest man in the world.
To my sweet Melissa.....I love you, and Happy Birthday sweetheart!

I can't believe you are 24!!!! I am so excited to be starting this new adventure of motherhood with you. I love you so much and hope you have a wonderful birthday!!!!!
haha that might have been a touch of Tim with the flag. BRO, tell Melissa I said 'Happy Birthday,' I mean it now, don't forget! Read this comment, immediately put down your laptop, walk over to her and say "Cory says Happy Birthday." Man I've always been so lucky to have you and her to look up to since becoming a Christian, you and her mean more to me than ya'll know.
That last one is now currently my background! Awesome pics there bro! I like the rainbow one too. Happy Birthday Melissa Happy Anniversary too and may God continue to bless the 3 of you!
Happy Birthday, Melissa!! We have a little somethin' somethin' that we were hoping to give y'all (that's how you spell it, Cory!) tonight, but we had tire probs and couldn't make it to class. Hope you had a wonderful day!! :)

Hey, please tell Melissa THANK YOU for the clothes!! Rebecca has been smiling like a cheshire cat!! The clothes are adorable and fit Bec perfectly. Even Rach and Rain got some shirts out of the deal! How is that possible?! :) So thanks again, we really appreciate it!!
Timothy IS a good name! We've decided though, that this baby, boy or girl, can't have a name ending with the "e" sound. Just doens't go well with Goode!! And besides, there can never be another Tim! :) Did you see my previous post? I have to admit, the baby tops it, but it's still pretty cool! My husband is the best!!
Ok....this will be the only time in which I will ask you readers to "bear" with me for a moment. I would like to discuss a device that seems to be associated with me quite frequently in the past few years......or one that I don't associate myself with....
The cell Phone
I would first like to say that I do enjoy the modern conviences of today’s "techy" world...
1.) The stove (Home Cookin...although ours is from 1954...sweet!)
2.) The Television (Catchin re-runs of Mama's Family and Watching my Vols....fantastic)
3.) The internet (Well...here I am...and skype is pretty rad)
4.) And last but not least....the CELL PHONE.
However...I will never view anyone's accountability/common courtesy based on any of the above “things ".
Because I can't use the stove ANYwhere as well as my wife....really doesn't speak against me too much.
Because I have not memorized broadcasting times or devote myself to TV programs as much as some of my co-workers....really doesn't speak too much against me.
Because I cannot tell you what http stands for, or keep from getting that 9yr old on Christmas feeling when Mel and I log on to talk to Ed/Laine in AUS....they are in AUS.....we are HERE....c’mon THATS COOL....doesn't speak to much against me.
AHH but the cell phone!!!! This little tricky guy.....he's got something to say about it...
Well, those of you that know me well....know that I can be a bit animated. I enjoy seeing the face of the person I am talking to, and enjoy giving my undivided attention to. Likewise, I enjoy seeing facial expressions of others and being "involved" in a conversation. How many conversations have you had that go like this..." Hey....how are ya?! "....and before you can say "Doing well" you hear the following...." Can you hold on a sec", "Turn that down.....Im on the phone",” Traffic....Wind blowing through the receiver.....WHOOOOOOSH! ", and my personal favorite (From both ends simultaneously ) " Can you here me now "
I don't mean to come off disgruntled....but I need to speak the other side of the story from time to time. I think cell phones are great for many things which we could all list an extremely long list of these (and I LOVE each name programmed in this little device Melissa and I have decided I need to carry) .....HOWEVER....does it have to be attached to me at all times? Do I have to be looked at as a careless, at the whim, irresponsible, and my least favorite of all.....unaccountable, because I do not make this small, non-antenna having, (thanks Jada!) beat up, piece of junk within phalanges reach at all times? I enjoy the occasional conversation from time to time on my cell phone in a good reception area......a good long one. But the one where we are both driving/in the middle of something that reeeaaaaly doesn't make sense to bring a cell phone in the picture ( laying with my wife on the couch, enjoying peace in quiet in nature, on a bike ride, swimming, playing B-Ball, at work, in church services, Before 9am...after 11pm )....c’mon.
You know that I am willing to give everything the Lord has blessed me with (physical, emotional, material, whatever the case may be ) at anytime.....to anyone. I made some real choices about 3 yrs ago to devote my time to worthwhile things....and to continue to get better at doing so. I have had some really amazing experiences thanks to God for this, but I ask be patient with me, or at best look past, this " fault " of mine with the luxury of a cell phone.
I just don't carry it all the time....and Im not sure I will ever have that sense of urgency about it. But know if you need to talk.....my front porch is always here....and you will have my undivided attention.
:) Who are we that God shows us His mercy?!!! What Love!
Mel and I have been studying with a girl from work the past week. She and her Mom came to worship with us last night! Pray this goes well!
NOTE: Cell phone WILL be attached to hip NOV 08- DEC 08!!! LOVE YA'll!
Tim, I hope you know that I only joke with you about the phone. You are definately no where NEAR as bad as other people I could name about answering their phone ;)
Hey, I totally understand where you're coming from with the cell phone thing. It really irks me that teenagers these days feel they have to have the cell phone glued to their bodies 24/7. Texting is the worst - drives me nuts! Kids are getting into so much more trouble because of it - not to mention being irresponsible and racking up $1000.00 phone bills! I see cell phones as a necessary evil. As a female with 3 kids, I think it's a great thing to have with me in the car in case of an emergency. And living 2000 miles away from home makes calling during "free minutes" a wonderful luxury. But when the phone wakes me up during my Sunday afternoon nap and puts me in a grumpy mood for the rest of the day, affecting not only me but my family, I'm ready to throw it out the window! OH, and going off during worship services.... don't even get me started!! ;) Yup, face to face is the best! I'm with ya! I guess I should be thankful for me cell though, after all, that IS how Denny and I got to know each other over those 5 months before meeting face to face! And then after that I would have been in a panic if I didn't have it! Like I said, necessary evil!
Ha ha Cory! I wasn't placing you in the category of teenagers. You're a responsible adult (rigth?!),so don't feel bad! That was only my humble open onion anyway! Take it or leave it! :)
Amen, Tim!! You voice the same opinion I have myself. For example, I make no apology for having my phone in my room when I am spending time with my family elsewhere in the house. Glad I am not the only one who feels this way about cell phones! lol :D
Hope you had a great birthay and GREAT anniversary!!!!!!!!! I'm with you on the cell, totally takes away from the face to face conversation, plus sometimes you just don't want to be reached!!!!!
Thanks soooooo much for the calls and posts on Bday. Going to be doing a summary of the last two days here shortly.....but see above for the best post EVER!!
