Well, she saw this pattern at the quilt store and asked me if I would make it for her. The condition was that she select the eleven fabrics graduating from light to dark. Don't you agree that she did very nicely on her selection? Most are batiks but a few lovely cottons give it just enough character along with the design. Selecting fabrics is the hardest part in making a Bargello Quilt. I had not been to Quilts on Plum Lane in Dade City and had been wanting to go ever since moving to Plant City so we took a day and went to get the fabrics for the quilt. If you are a quilter, it's worth the 30 mile trip as they have some really beautiful fabrics.
QUILTERS BEWARE: Bargellos are addictive.
Okay, LaWanda when do we go shop for the backing fabric?
It has been too many years. So glad you were able to sale your house and move closer to your grandchildern. It looks like you are staying busy with quilting. I wish I could motivate myself to sit down and just do it and ignore the house, work and everything else.:-)
He was in the Marine Corps and your dad thought that he would make it a career of it. I know his mother, Jan, too. We worshipped with them at Oconner Road church then at Garden Ridge for a short time after they started.
