Even a day away is sometimes exactly what I need.
I had the most amazing weekend ever. I got to spend it with some pretty amazing people!!!! :)
Saturday I got up and left Auburn, got to Birmingham and picked Blake up and we went to my Mom’s to get her, went and hung out with Dad for a little bit and then went to Lacey’s to hang out with her and my grandmother! I love my grandmother. She’s the funniest thing and I just love seeing her!!!!
Then Saturday night me, Blake, Lace, Erin, Miklm, Jacob and Kristen went and ate dinner at Salvatores!! (oh my word I love that place!!!) It was DELICIOUS!!!! :) We stayed there for a while talking and it was nice to just be able to spend time with my two very best friends! I wish they were both still here with me. I miss them a lot! After that we left and went back to Blakes.
Sunday was church, Mrs. Annette cooked an amazing lunch for us and then Kelly and I went to Ashlyn’s tea! :) I got to see a lot of people there who I haven’t seen in a long time including my Pita!!!!! :) I just love her! Then we went back to church and after that me and Blake went fishing in the lake behind their house. It was fun, we didn’t catch anything though. He said he thought it was probably a little too late to catch anything because most of them don’t bite after a certain time. Then Kelly and I came back to Auburn.
I got this ADORABLE clutch wallet off EBAY and it came over the weekend so I had a nice surprise when I got home. I was so excited when I saw it!!! :)
Now, it’s back to the grind...I’m at work this morning and I have to work till 11. :( BOO! I have a feeling this is gonna be a long week because I’m anticipating my trip to Jacksonville so much!!!!! :) It’s gonna be SO much fun!! BUT in the meantime this week is going to be incredibly busy! I have SO much to do. AHHH.

This morning I’m most assuredly dragging…like NO other. I could barely keep my eyes open driving to work this morning. This whole waking up at 5am, taking my brother to work and then going to work is really starting to get to me….and my day isn’t even half-way over…I have to work till 11 tonight. :(
Oh well…it’s my fault since I decided to play Volleyball last night instead of going to bed at 9 or 10. I need the exercise/activity though. I’m constantly cooped up in an office or behind a desk, I have to take advantage or whatever physical activity I can get my hands on. Haha.
I talked to my Rita yesterday! :) I miss her so stinking much and I’m so glad that we’re still so close. I know without a doubt she’ll be there for me no matter what. She’s amazing! I can’t wait to see you this weekend Pita!!! YAY!
Even though weddings are expensive, I’m so excited about Ashlyn and Kelly’s weddings. I have fun being in them and since I’m friends with most of the people in both of the weddings it’s gonna be pretty stinking funny. Blake Edwards and I were discussing how in Ashlyn and Tyler’s wedding it’s gonna be hard for all of us to keep straight faces and how we’ll probably be up there laughing at one another. Ashlyn said…and I quote “guys, this is not play time…this is my wedding, there’s no laughing at weddings!” haha. Even Tyler laughed. It was funny! I’m so honored to be apart of these girls weddings.
Ashlyn is such a sweet, good and kind-hearted person. I still remember when she called me screaming about the fact that Tyler had proposed to her. Sometimes I catch myself thinking about old times and growing up; the people I grew up with were so way fun and thankfully I still have most of them in my life, and even though Ashlyn was younger she always fun to be around…I always felt like she was my little sister and now she’s getting married. I can’t believe it, but she couldn’t possibly be marrying anyone more wonderful than Tyler Crawford. He’s one of the honest to goodness best people I know. He’s a leader in our college group here and I’m so glad that God blessed Ashlyn with such a wonderful man to spend the rest of her life with.
Kelly and I have known one another for a while but haven’t been close up until the last 4 months. Normally when you share a room with someone and you’re around them as much as we’re around one another you would get sick of them, but we don’t at all. We get along so well and I was completely honored that she asked me to be in her wedding and wanted me to help her plan it. It’s been so much fun to be apart of. Kelly is such a sweet girl too. She’s always saying something to make me laugh and she’s very thoughtful. She and Ryan are just precious together. It’s so obvious when they’re together how great they are for one another. Ryan is a wonderful man and Kelly is a lucky girl to have him.
I don’t think Saturday could possibly get here any sooner. I’m so excited about going home and seeing my family and my Lacey and Erin. Saturday is gonna be good day, I can just feel it!!!! :)
I love you Lacey and Erin!!! I can’t wait to see y’all!!!!
Something goofy always happens while we’re playing volleyball. I can’t play half the time we’re out there because I’m laughing so hard. Laughter is lifes best medicine though! :)
Josh Lewis cracks me up. I’m glad he moved here. *special moments*

Please pray for Kevin Simpson. He’s starting Rehab and Detox in Birmingham at UAB on Friday I believe. I talked to him last night and he seems to be in good spirits and very determined to get this addiction beat. I know he knows what to do but it’s a matter of actually doing it. Everyone slips and has there faults and this is Kevin’s weakness. Please pray for him to have courage and strength to get better. Everyone needs prayers, a little hope and encouragement.

So the shout out goes to Cori! She knew what the lyrics were too!!! Cori is a fellow One Tree Hill fan, so she knows all about Kate Voegele!!! :) YAY for Cori for being musically informed. Haha.
“I’m Only Fooling Myself” by Kate Voegele was the song. It’s pretty much AWESOME!!!
If you haven’t ever heard her music, you should really check it out. She’s amazing!!! Quickly becoming one of my favorite artists; I’ve had her CD in for the last 4 days and I’ve been listening to it at work too!
This has been a long BAD week. I’m trying to keep my head up and be positive but sometimes it’s hard doing that. I try really hard to be the person I know I should be and be the best friend to everyone that I can be, but hard as I try, I always disappoint someone. I hate disappointing people; especially the people that mean the most to me. I need to be stronger.
Thank You Girls for last night!!! I had fun “rolling shirts” and talking about “ham and turkey”! ;)
Last night, the guys grilled hamburgers for us; it was delicious and they were really sweet for doing that!!! We have a really great group of guy friends down here. I feel so blessed to have them in my life. They are always looking out for me and are always willing to beat someone up! Haha. I’m gonna miss them not being next door next year. Only a little over a month left with them. I hope the new guys are just as cool!
Despite everything I’ve really enjoyed this summer. It’s been busy and hectic and I don’t ever have time for anything, but the things I have gotten to do and will get to do have made all of what I’m doing worth it. I get to go to Jacksonville in 2 weeks with my girls from FC!!! *fingers crossed penny gets to come*, but I know Julie, Daph and I are gonna have a blast with Sarah for her wedding! It’s gonna be a nice little reunion. I haven’t seen Julie or Sarah in a LONG time. I got to see Daph in December but not for long so it will be a way fun weekend with them…and I nice break from Auburn. I love it, but I need to get away for a few days!
The next month and a half is gonna be crazy busy and then school starts back, but the light at the end of the tunnel just keeps getting brighter so I know that everything I’m goin through right now is gonna be worth it in the end. For now I’m just having the time of my life in the most beautiful little town on the plains! :) I love Auburn and the people here. They are all so encouraging for me!!!
I got to go to VBS yesterday. The kids were great and LOVING every minute of it. It’s so adorable to hear them singing the songs at the top of their lungs with those precious smiles on their faces!!! I love the kids at University! They’re adorable. Hopefully next year I can be more involved with it. I was sad that I didn’t get to help out. :(
I’m goin to Birmingham on Saturday…not sure what time, but I’m gonna try to leave by 9 am. I’ve got a lot to do, I need to see my parents and my grandmother, Lace and Erin and I’ve gotta get something for Ashlyn for her bridal tea from me, Lara, Audra and Kelly. Lara and I were gonna go shopping for it, but she’s not coming up till Sunday morning now and not with me on Saturday. It’s gonna be a hectic trip, but I’m glad I get to at least be in Birmingham for a little while.
