I have arrived. I now live in the Tundra.
My observations thus far:
.Iowa is filled with corn and bad drivers
.Apple Valley is a nice name for a town
.People here talk funny
.I am going to be one of those people very soon
.I am not prepared for the 16 different levels of cold that is winter in the tundra
.I have a lot of stinkin stuff
I assure you more observations are to come. This is just the short list. I've been here about 28 hours and I haven't had a meltdown. Two points for that...
My dad is off work this week so I get to spend lots of time with him. I'm really excited about this. Mainly because he's my daddy but also because he's cool. And I'm not just saying that. He really is cool.
On another note... Continue to pray for my brother and our family. It's his birthday tomorrow and it's going to be rough on all of us. We still don't know where he is, what he's doing or have a viable way of contacting him. Pray a hedge of protection around him where ever he may be spending his 22nd birthday.
I miss you. And I love you. A lot. |

I've sold my bed, dresser, TV/Stand, bar stools and my mini fridge. All but the fridge was to the same person which is nice because it's less people to coordinate with.
I'm 200$ richer and my apartment is very, very empty like. I suppose I can't really call it MY apartment anymore. It's lost the glory it once knew and is more like four walls and carpet.
Deep breath. I'm really doing this. I'm really moving. Deep breath.

Please pray for my younger brother Tom. He's facing some huge personal issues right now and needs to make some big decisions. Pray that the Holy Spirit would get a hold of his heart and guide him. Pray also for my family and I as we are very much in the dark about the situation (he won't tell us what's going on). It's tearing us up not knowing what's going on and we're all very worried. Feel free to share this with whatever prayer network you may be a part of. Thanks! |
