well we just found out yesterday that it may be a little longer than expected...due date was july 26th but i could be a little longer...OR shorter of course...
Some of you may have already speculated the potential of iron man. You may have already assumed that it will severely lack merit. Some of you are wrong. I, however, have to confess that I was previously one of these people. I saw the trailer and since Spiderman and X-Men are the only good Marvel movies, I figured this one would suck like so many of the rest. It started a few days ago when I noticed that it was getting good reviews. I would've never guessed that, out of 110 or so reviews, 105 of them would be good. I saw Iron Man last night and it blew me away. It takes it's time (in a good way), yet it keeps a very good pace. For those of you who are tired of seeing Toby McGuire shed a tear every five seconds because he broke a toenail or because him and MJ are on the rocks again, have no fear! Iron Man is not sappy. On the contrare, it's very comical. Well-written dialogue delivered by well-acting Robert Downey Jr. keeps the audience in giggles. Not to mention the sweet fight scene in Iraq. Jon Favreau (you know? the rich guy on Friends that Monica dated but was not attracted to, and he dumped her because he decided that he wanted to become a boxer...yeah, he's in other roles too, but that oughta suffice...if it doesn't then you remember the messed-up lookin guy from the Goonies? Yeah, well that's not Jon Favreau...but do you remember the big guy from Hitch? You know, the guy from that lame show, King of Queens? Yeah that's not Jon Favreau either. Him and Jon Favreau are just about the same size...but you remember the part in Elf where Will Ferrel goes to the doctor and starts eating cotton balls...well Jon Favreau is the doctor in that part), the director, delivers! In short, for those of you are worrying, don't. Iron Man soars. Will it be better than Dark Knight? Not a chance.
