This next thing is the first forward that I've gotten in a very long time that actually made me laugh. I thought I would share it with all of you. If Jared's the only one who laughs too, I'll never know, and it wouldn't really bother me too much anyway :)

The President of Iran was wondering who to invade when his telephone rang.
"This is Mendel in Tel Aviv. We're officially declaring war on you!"
"How big is your army?" the president asked.
"There's me, my cousin Moishe, and our pinochle team!"
"I have a million in my army," said the president.
"I'll call back!" said Mendel.
The next day he called. "The var's still on!" We have now a bulldozer, Goldblatt's tractor plus the canasta team!"
"I have 16,000 tanks, and my army is now two million."
"Oy gevalt!", said Mendel. "I'll call back."
He phoned the next day. "We're calling off the var"
"Why?"
"Well," said Mendel, "we've all had a little chat, and there's no way we can feed two million prisoners."

P.S. I was going to retell my exciting afternoon of battling snakes (see, the story has changed already) and add some color for the benefit of all who read, but for some reason I don't feel like exaggerating too much, and the story is basically no good without exaggeration. So... suffice it to say that... eh, I won't go there. I'm sure your imaginations are much better :)
One of the many things Shannon said this week that I plan on using in the near and far future.
Aaah.... all of my friends names have turned white. I can't handle that tonight! I'm too sleepy and my eyes keep darting back toward the book I've been reading and wish to finish. I have instead chosen to give a short update about my exciting week cruising in the Caribbean with my cousin, Shannon!
The week consisted mostly of eating (Shannon phrased it quite well: "We ate like Marie Antoinette") and sleeping (upward 11 or 12 hours a day). You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not. It was amazing.
I'm only burned a couple of places. I expect to start peeling any moment now.
We did stay awake and away from food long enough to go snorkeling in Saint Maarten (a Virgin Island), which was pretty cool. There were shipwrecks down there and Shannon was scared of the fish with long, pointy noses so there was stuff to entertain me, haha. We definitely hit the frozen yogurt machine when we got back, though. We also went to CocoCay (in the Bahamas!) and Saint Thomas... wherever that is...
I'm happy to be back home, though! And I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in BG Thursday night/sometime this weekend in between hitting Nashville for the CMA Festival with Bryan! Not that many of you will care, but I'm going to see Josh Turner and Carrie Underwood this weekend! yay! Among some other people that aren't as exciting to me, but I'll love anyway.
Carrie Underwood!! That's awesome have fun!!
I didn't know you were going on a cruise, I have to hear about it!
BTW, you still going to the lake with us?
Sounds like you had fun on the cruise. I think that's really cool, and what cruises are meant to be used for, relaxing. And I wish I could go to the lake with y'all. I miss it soo much. And That concert should be pretty amazing!
So a bunch of us went to Bryan's house on Friday for a Bible study. While there, (before everyone was present, thankfully) I managed to spill hot dog juice all over me. Long story... anyway, it made me smell like hot dogs!! I probably could have attracted every stray in the area! I had to borrow a shirt from Megan, Bryan's sister. However, Bryan and Phillip got to pick the shirt out since I ran to the bathroom to try and clean myself off.
What did the shirt look like, you may ask? Well, I'm glad you did. It was orange, had a picture of Tweety Bird on it, and in big letters proclaimed: Blonde Ambition.
That got a few laughs. But maybe you had to be there?
aww! I miss you too. I was gonna stop by your apartment yesterday as I was coming home from work and then i was sad because I remembered no one was there!
E.g., I cannot wait for finals week, from the 6-10. It will be a breeze compared to the next week and a half.
My cousin David came up and surprised me this week!! He made it to my apartment yesterday, but I wasn't here, so I kind of ruined the surprise, but oh well. He came to church with me tonight, which is great! And a few things he said just keeps me thinking that he's headed down the path that his parents (my aunt and uncle) have headed down. The right path!!
That's about all I feel like saying... I just felt a little lonely with only two comments down there is all.
I miss you, Mer. So much. I definitely need to come up to BG and spend a long weekend sometime... since Jason's moving here I won't have to fly and go see him, but vacation time is a bit of an issue! Ah, the problems of adulthood. Love you!
