I just watched the American men smash the 400m freestyle relay. WOW. WOW. WOW. I still have some tears in my eyes from getting so excited. WOW. Outstanding. I barely watched any of the Athens games, but I was really into the swimming and diving during the Sydney games. So I justify my "lie" by saying that I'd forgotten how exciting they can be. I realized that I needed a day off, so here I am. I slept in until 11:57am. It's probably been a good 3 or 4 years since that happened. Right now I'm just reading through people's blogs and they're all making me happy! I have an amazing group of friends, of which those of you who are reading this are included. Thank you for being my friend--many of you have made a point to be that for me for many years. It means a lot to me. Love y'all! *BIG GROUP HUG* (I feel less stressed out already! ;) ///// In other news, Olympics time is always an interesting sociological phenomenon to me. I'm not a huge Olympics person like some of you are (although I did have a "GO THORPEDO!" sign in my window during the Sydney Olympics...and I made a point to tour the aquatics center at the Sydney Olympic Park two years later...), but I love how small it makes the world feel. Just think--this is truly news that is talked about in just about every corner of the world. Way cool.
