because I have been sick (by the way I went to the DR's sinus infection , starting of bronchitis, and fluid behind my ears!) I have lost my voice, it has come in and out for the last three days. Jim said as much as it scares him I sounded like Cher, other have said I sounded like a deep raspy chain smoker. So if you would have to choose which would you rather be??
OK I have been sick now for 5 days and I am not enjoying it. Bekah has it Cori has it and I guess we infected Jim last weekend and he is sick. Poor guy has a PFT (physical fitness test) this morning and is not feeling well at all. He has to run 3 miles do 20 pull ups and 100 sit ups all timed and scored. I think the run has to be completed in 26 minutes or less. He has the cold symptoms like all of us but then the stomach issues that I got as well. I still feel lousy. Any ways all else is good. I leave in 12 days to go meet Jim and go to the Marine Corp Ball. I am so excited to go!! I get to wear a fancy ball gown and get all prettied up. :) Yippee!!
I'm sorry you are sick! Get better soon! Hey, you are going to be gone on your birthday?!?! AW, man! I wanted to take you to lunch! Well, I suppose getting to spend a weekend with your husband and get all gussied up is an acceptable excuse! ;)
Maybe you all got food poisoning at retreat? I have made pies from the white "Ghost" pumpkin variety- very sweet, smooth and not stringy. Never heard of sugar pumpkin.

Ok so Kathi tagged me and Lori insisted I would never do it. Which she is right I NEVER do these things but just Decided to do this one to say I have done it.
1. I only have 9 1/2 Toes, I have cut one whole toe off that they reattached, and half of another that is still missing!
2. I sleep in the fetal position
3. My kids think I am a clean freak
4. I am the fund raising queen at my kids schools.
5. I used to dress as Chuck E cheese and greet the kids
6. I come from a large family (5 siblings)
7. I have lived in Calif, Virginia, Florida, Okinawa Japan, and Oregon.
8. I have a pen pal in Australia that I have been writing to for 31 years. She came to the USA for my wedding.
So here it is Monday morning, Jim is gone yet again and school starts in a week and a half. Summer is almost over and I successfully accomplished nothing this summer!! Rats!! My list was long and I marked off very little. Time to throw out that list and start a Fall list!! I think I will make this one smaller that way every time I cross something off it will look like I have actually done more!!
The neverending list...I have one of those. I just keep transferring it from one piece of paper to another, somehow thinking things will disappear in the process. Never seems to work, though...
I like the short list idea. Whenever I make lists and nothing ever seems to be getting crossed off, I start adding things that I HAVE done, no matter how dumb and small just so I can cross them off and feel like I accomplished something! :)
Summer really is winding down!!! Mikey is off for school. Rochelle was here for four days and she is back home (she is planning on substitute teaching this fall). Pete and Dan are in full swing with football.....and school starts next Wednesday. I think I need to make a list!!!!
Don't feel bad. Chris and I had a large list as well and we hardly got any of it done either! Summer is NEVER long enough :) When does Jim come home next time?
I don't know how often you check this, but I'm uploading all Cody's senior pictures to my Flickr page.
