Well, I hope and pray everyone had a happy and safe thanksgiving.
We did. The girls had fun seeing all of their grandparents over the last week. I will update pictures when I can and let you know.
Clint and I had a good time while we were home, too. My sister-in-law and I helped our mil scan and print photos for a project she is working on.
Clint and I also got to go on a date while my parents watched the girls. We went to eat at Hagy's Catfish Hotel and we went to see a movie. It is a rare occurrence for us to go to the movies, but we did. We went to watch "Fireproof." It was a great movie.
One of the member's at Savannah Heights Congregation in Savannah, TN had a mini-stroke on Friday. Her name is Lucile (sp?) Duckworth. They watched her overnight and she was sent home on Saturday. She was to have some tests run on Monday, but I haven't heard any updated news. We saw her after the movie on Friday night as well.
Happy Thanksgiving to all of you. Have a wonderful time with family and friends this week. As for us, we will be in TN. It's a surprise to most of the grandparents. The only one that knows is grandfather. I think he has enjoyed keeping it a secret. We weren't sure until last week that we were going or not because of money, but God has blessed us.
Eowyn is ready to go to Tennessee. Earlier she had a bag and told us bye. I asked her were she was going. She said, "Tennessee."
Well, as you all know, two years can say anything. Eowyn has been coming up with some really good sentences lately.
"Jesus is My Savior." - How very true that is.
"I'm very special, momma." - I tell her she is special.
The one that made clint and me laugh coming home last night was this:
"I can ride my bike with no handlebars. I can ride my bike with no candy bars. I like candy bars." LOL
The last one is a song, for those of you that don't know, with the exception of the last part about the candy bars. She has heard the song maybe twice as we usually only listen to the radio in the car.
Josie is crawling everywhere. She is trying to push up now on things.
Well, on Saturday, we took the girls and rode a train in Belton, MO. Eowyn and Josie both loved it. The train ride was from Belton, MO to Grandview, MO. The whole thing was 45mins long. They stopped in Grandview and they had some pumpkins for sale and a few games for the kids to play. It was nice. Eowyn played a game and won a prize. They had a bulls eye set up with velcro on it so the kid could throw a ball and it would stick to it. It was neat. She liked it. When we got back to Belton, Clint took some more pictures and we left. Later on when went to a birthday party in Oak Grove for two of the member's where we attend.
On Sunday, we went to the zoo between service times. Josie got to ride on an animal on the carousel. Of course, I held her. She can sit up unassisted while not moving around and around. Anyway, she enjoyed it. You can look at the video by clicking on the youtube link under "links".
We watched the sea lion show, rode the train, ate ice cream, and walked the tiger trail. Eowyn fed a lorikeet.
You can check out pictures by clicking on the kids pics link under links. I will try to keep those updated as I can. Just keep checking those links for anything new in the future. I will just let you know in a weblog more than likely that they have been updated.
I thought I would go ahead and include this one remix.
thanks! i had a great time at the game..even though we lost we still had some fun down in the student section. we stood the whole game so my back and feet were pretty sore.
