If what I read above is even a fleeting thought in your head, let me convince you of how wonderful it would be. Mr. Wade is the epitome of what the school needs and is going to be beyond wonderful. Don't tease me Lyds!
of course! I just felt so bad yesterday that we missed you by like an hour! And then my phone died on the way home and I wanted to call and check on you. Glad you're back. See you at Bunco Monday?
NO I DIDN'T! I haven't been able to talk to him in a couple of weeks, and I didn't want to pry either. I needed that news today! Are you going to take it??????
For anyone who is interested, here's what has been going on:
-Katy and I are teaching the little kids bible class at church, and one of the little boys really doesn't like us. :(
-Today I applied for graduation, so hopefully by the end of April I will have my masters degree in Mathematics Education.
-I'm going to a conference on Friday and Saturday in Daytona Beach where I will be co-presenting on using the TI NSpire to teach financial literarcy.
-I'm working with one of my professors and doing research on Mediteranean Mathematics, specifially Babylonian Tablets that contain mathematics. (The ones at FSU that we are particularly working with are from about 2200 B.C.!)
-My favorite class right now is Vector Calculus.
Putting all that stuff down makes my life sound really boring and nerdy. I guess it kind of is. But, I spend all of my freetime with Craig and reading Georgette Heyer, and I would usually much rather be doing either of those two things than anything else I do. All in all, things are going really well, and I have a lot to be thankful for.
Man I really miss hanging out with you. I was thinking about you the other day. I guess there is a high probability that we will never see each other again heh
If I weren't living here... I wouldn't really understand this blog... I'm glad I'm living here. Can you bring the tablets to bible class for show & tell?
Hope you don't catch the bug going around! I'm glad you're teaching our kids in Bible class. Emma came home last night and told me she found baby Moses in the grass. : )
Hey Lyds, Fred took Vector Calculus and liked it all right too. The research on Mediteranean mathematics sounds really neat. I'm glad you're doing good, I had a great time playing phase 10 with you guys while we were both in FL:)
I totally didn't think boring! I think it looks really fun and cool... well... not fun to me... because I wouldn't understand it. It looks important! That's amazing that you're getting to study the Babylonian Tablets from 2200 BC!!! That's the coolest thing I've heard, lately! (My life is very limited right now but even if it wasn't, I'm SURE that would still be at the top!)
It's definitely football season. :) I went to the FSU Alabama game on Saturday, and this is what I just read about the number of fans there:
"The 85,412 fans at Saturday's game was the most to see a game in Jacksonville, exceeding attendance at the 2004 Super Bowl game or any of the annual Georgia-Florida rivalry games."
There's just something about being in a place with that many people cheering for one thing that is exhilerating. Needless to say, it was pretty incredible.
Wow, that's a lot of people! So Lyds, how are you? You know Cara's about to have her baby, she was due the 24th but he hasn't come yet. How's school going for you? I hope you're doing good:)! By the way, that's a really cute picture of you and Katie.
