So I started a Paper route a couple weeks ago… I deliver The Milwaukee Journal, the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Lake Country Review, and USA Today. It takes a long time very early in the morning, but today I finished by 4:30 and was able to get about an hour nap before my real job.
I am one of 75 paperboys that pick up their papers from this warehouse. I get there around 2am sub all my papers (that’s industry jargon for stuffing the middle section of the paper into the right place). While I am doing this there is this woman that walks around coughing, picking her nose and wiping it on her sleeve. I think that is her only job… I am not sure… I then take my load of papers and cram them into my car and drive around town shoving them in boxes. I was thinking that Paper Boy would be a good title for a superhero, but I realized the Paper Boy probably is a villain… He only brings bad news!
LOL. I remember when Derek had a paper route. It was TERRIBLE! I hated Sundays. He usually wanted someone to go with him to help him stuff them while he was throwing them out the car window. I threw up so many times just because I was so tired and because he was swerving all over the road to get to all of the mailboxes....
