that is very cool about getting what you needed on bf. It's hard sometimes! I got a few things I wanted - mini sd cards for my girls' phones and a 2 GB flashdrive for 6.99. Not much, but what I wanted so it was all good. Got some shopping done too.
We found out that Erika had her surgery today(Wednesday) not Tuesday.
Great News!! Her surgery went very well. From what we heard they were able to fix 75% of the problem in her brain and remove both Aneurisms. They said they will treat the rest with Radiation. She might be able to go home Friday but will obviously have a good deal of recovering to do. Please continue to keep the family in your prayers.
AVM is what my 2 year old cousin died from this past spring. Her AVM was in her lungs - they didn't find any in her brain or other parts of her body. Oh my! Well, she is 16 and that is to her advantage - greatly!! We will keep her and the family in our prayers.
I am asking for Prayers for Erika Johnson. She is Cory's cousin's daughter. She is 16 and went to the hospital with headaches and they discovered that she has AVM disease. (arteriovenous malformation disease)(An abnormal group of blood vessels within the central nervous system. This abnormality occurs during the development of the brain and spinal cord. The blood vessels are not only located in an abnormal place, but they are usually weaker than normal. These blood vessels will occasionally break and cause bleeding within the brain. In addition, since blood is rapidly transported from the arteries to the veins, the brain tissue in this area may not receive its normal blood supply. Sometimes, this lack of adequate blood flow can lead to seizures.)
They did find bleeding in her brain and when they did am MRI they also found 2 aneurisms. She is having surgery today. Erika & her parents need your prayers. We are not sure how serious her situation is or how difficult the surgery will be.
I will post an update on her condition as soon as we hear.

Well it has been 3 months and our computer is fixed. Well actually we got a new one from a friend at our congragation. We also have DSL again. When we moved we realized that we are so far out that we couldn't get a lot of things. We had been able to get internet through Verizon but that was almsot $100 a month. So we waited until Qwest installed DLS in our area. I call Monday and they said it was available. We connected Friday. I cannot tell you how much I have missed having a computer. There are so many things we depend on now from paying the bills to Becca typing her papers. She is very excited to do this at home. She was having to either hand write them which most teachers want them typed, or put them on her jump drive & take it to school to print.
I fill like I have missed so much of all your lives and it would take so long to go back on all your pages 3 months sooo......

Speaking of Thanksgiving.. Cory & I are hosting our first Thanksgiving at our new house. We did this once before in our trailer but my oven quit working so my parents cooked the turkey at their house & brought it to mine. This time I am cooking the turkey so I pray I do it right.I am excited to do it at our house this year because we usually go to 2 places on Thanksgiving. It will be nice to be able to stay home. I am also very nervous about it so I will let you know how it turned out.

Our pics are in the evening on the 20th at Gleneden State Park. Heading to services Sunday am where Ashley goes - a newer congregation over there & then some outlet shopping. We are staying at a motel called Ashley Inn in Lincoln City Saturday nite. Sounds like you all are going to have a great getaway!!!
