I just wanted to say thanks for all the contributions that everyone gave. My original goal was to raise $250.00 and that was far surpassed with the total contributions totaling $370.00!!!

And in case you were wondering, at the last minute I decided that standing around and watching people run was boring...so I jumped in and ran the 5K along with the rest :)
For those who haven't had a chance to contribute yet, the deadline is soon. The walk is Saturday and any contributions we can get this week would be great.

I have a favor to ask of everyone and I hope you don't mind my solicitation. Most of you are familiar with the Race For The Cure which is an effort that is made to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer. This year the Vice President of our department at work is chairman of an effort called 3 Miles Of Men. The basic concept is to line the race course with 3500 to 5000 men to encourage the runners as they come by. I have signed up to be a part of this team and would like to ask for your help in raising money for this cause.

While I haven't personally experienced having a family member with this disease, I have had friends who have dealt with this and have seen how it hurts and affects them. I am sure you have had these experiences as well.
