Grgrma is on a road-trip. She left yesterday headed towards Texas, Oklahoma and Missouri. I've told her to behave, but.... we all know grgrma. Vic, watch out! She's coming your way. written by Crabinlaw
Great to see you! I loved our day having lunch and shopping...even if I was using a walker! I hated that thing I felt like a real senior citizen! Thank the Lord I'm doing well! Love you!
I have been very blessed to be able to see another grandson married to a marvellous young lady (read Fezzick to read details) in July, and welcome another great granddaughter (to the grandson who asks all those weird riddles)into our family. Still waiting for the next great grandbaby (supposed to be a boy)due anytime (my Cajun one thru crab-in-law). I am back in California right now, on my way to a beach party next week with a bunch of Christian friends. God is great...God is good!! I am getting old enough to want to go, see, and enjoy all that I can of the beauty of the great Master Painter during the remainder of the time He leaves me on this earth. Love all of you and will talk to you again soon.
Okay, so I haven't been very good at doing this. As she says, my social calendar is much to full for this type of stuff. I just returned from a week at Pismo and from the Miller Avenue lectures. Heading off this week for his wedding. When I get back it is off to Half Moon Bay for a week. Such a tough life, but somebody has to do it.
Okay, so she actually wrote this because my "wires are crossed."
Hi Grandma! I'm glad you're keeping up such a positive attitude though your traveling tribulations ;-) I was really hoping to make it to the wedding but with the baby due any day now, I figured it probably isn't the best timing.
Hoepfully crabinlaw will get you all straightened out. I am glad you are out there having fun!!!! Gonna miss seeing everyone next week. Please hug the bride and groom for me. Ya know I am asking everyone to do that.
Spent a wonderful last week at South Shore Lake Tahoe with about 150 of my brothers and sisters in Christ. It was an older group (not old), many that I had known for years. Singing every night, studies in Ecclesiastes and Nehemiah in the morning, games, sightseeing, visiting (not gossiping, well...maybe a little). Meet every year. Will be coming back to Florida the last of this month with my lovely daughter for a Carribean Cruise and I will stay thru the holidays and FC lectures in Feb. Think the kids? can put up with me that long? Right now, I am down with my back, will see the doctor tomorrow so I will be ready to travel. See all of you soon! Love you!!
Afte the frozen water pipe over my workroom in January, I am still trying to find out what I lost for insurance purposes. Found Doy's baby shoes and blankie (he latched onto his brother Pete's and I had to cut it in two). Don't think the insurance will pay me for his budding artist talents, although they are priceless to me, or his little baby shoes! I have most of my kids papers and pics into their separate bins now, but memories really slow down the separation process. I did find Doy's high school football pic with his "longer" hair, and some others, but I am under a "death" threat if any of them make this website. Anyone out there willing to take a chance? I also found Pete's baseball pants (he was three and would hit the his baseball with an empty Clorox bottle during his big bro's Little League game). My lovely daughter is monitoring this website to make sure nothing goes on it that she feels is "not appropriate" since she has my password. Don't you think at my age I could do or say what I wanted to? Love all of you and talk to you later.
Don't you wish you were as limber as my cat "Kittiprince"? He is at Laurie and Doy's to keep an eye on them for me (although his eyes are closed most of the time).
We won't tell that when Doy was a toddler his hair was so long and curly people assumed he was a girl...even though he wore boys clothes. Then there was that 70's hair thing. You know, I think I like the bald look.
Would you believe I got a phone call from fezzik saying "with actions come revenge"! Now,now, children, remember some of you came from the same genes!! Yes'm, Doy did have long hair as a baby and it was platinum. At the hospital, they paired him in the nursery with a beautiful, ravenhaired baby girl... was that a prophesy of what color hair his beautiful future wife would have?
Yes, teelduo, Billy Barty show was in 1966 before you were born. Doy was less than a year old, the youngest one at the show, and his dad snapped a picture off the tv. He was quite a ham, and stole the show for a while... a preview of his college years?
Thanks for your thoughts, Grandma. Absolutely family is my priority after God. Work is definitely on down the list of stuff. Debt is my monkey though and I'm fighting to get it off my back. I make progress every month but the adoption put us behind the 8-ball again. Hopefully the tax relief over the next few years will help though. :-)
