hey i found this on the creatoinists group. thought i was cool.
I. Introduction
A. When you open a science book, what do you find? What do you learn about the origin of the planet and all life? You are told that this world came into existence over 4.5 billion years ago when the “Big Bang” happened, and furthermore, you will learn that the process of evolution has produced the world as we know it. If you go into the mineral museum by the parkway, what will you learn about the origin of the planet? We have a children’s book on “identifying rocks” from the mineral museum, and it says that the world was formed over 4.57 billion years ago. Turn on the evening news, or watch a nature show on the Discovery channel, and again what do you learn about the origin of the planet? You once again hear a lecture on the Big Bang theory and the theory of evolution.
B. What is the point? The point is this- the theory of evolution is presented as factual and irrefutable by the scientific world, and if you attempt to teach otherwise, you are branded as a religious fanatic, a hocus pocus Christian, and an ignoramus of the highest degree.
C. Was the earth formed when particles in space exploded? Is the earth really 4.57 billion years old? Is the gorilla at the zoo really your great, great, great, great, great…grandfather? No, no and NO!
D. It was suggested in our last business meeting that we devote one lesson a month to evidences of God and the Bible, and so this morning, I want to present the first lesson in this series. Today, I want to expose the Big Bang theory for what it is…FALSE! We’re going to look at the Big Bang theory this morning because we need to begin at the beginning, and this is supposed to be how it all began…
II. What is the Big Bang Theory?
A. The “Big Bang Theory” states that all the matter in the universe was one concentrated in the form of a sort of “cosmic egg.” Approximately 13.7 billion years ago, this matter was spinning so rapidly that it began to inflate and expand, leading to the formation of stars, galaxies and planets.
B. This theory is based on the idea that the universe is continually expanding. Because the universe is expanding, it must have a point of origin. But it is not necessary to conclude that the universe was created in the same way it operates. For example, a flashlight operates by converted energy into light, but it was created by a different process.
C. Ironically, the Big Bang theory doesn’t explain the origin of the universe (as it claims to do). Where did all of the original matter come from? Where did the energy come from? Creationists are often ridiculed for “not knowing where God came from,” but evolutionists have the same problem with their beloved Big Bang theory.
D. Furthermore, the Big Bang theory is pure speculation! In other words, the Big Bang isn’t testable, repeatable laboratory science. It doesn’t make specific predictions that are confirmed by observation and experimentation. Rather, it is based on a series of assumptions.
E. But not only is the Big Bang theory untestable, it flatly contradicts a number of scientific principles…
IV. The Big Bang Theory is False Because…
A. Where is the antimatter? The Big Bang theory says that matter (hydrogen and helium) was created from energy as the universe expanded. Experimental physics tells us that whenever matter is created from energy, such a reaction also produces antimatter. In any reaction where energy is transformed into matter, it also produces an exactly equal amount of antimatter; there are no known exceptions. The big bang (which has no matter to begin with—only energy) should have produced precisely equal amounts of matter and antimatter. Thus, if the big bang were true, there should be an exactly equal amount of matter and antimatter in the universe today. But there is not. The visible universe is comprised almost entirely of matter—with only trace amounts of antimatter.
B. The “vacuum is not a vacuum” contradiction: Most of the universe is empty space, i.e. a vacuum. A vacuum has no particles, no force fields, nor waves. By definition, a vacuum has no energy. However, the Big Bang theory requires massive amounts of energy in early and later phases.
C. Too many heavy elements: The Big Bang only allows for the production of the lightest elements on the periodic table. However, our very existence is predicated on a concentration of heavier elements such as carbon and oxygen. Furthermore, the oldest stars observed in the cosmos contain these heavier elements. The Big Bang theory provides no explanation for where these elements originate.
D. Too much energy: The conservation of energy demands that energy cannot be created nor destroyed. In a naturalistic universe, there would therefore be no source for the energy seen in our universe. The Big Bang theory violates this fundamental physical principle.
E. The Law of the Conservation of Angular Momentum: This law states that when a spinning object breaks apart in a frictionless environment (as with the Big Bang) ALL the fragments will spin in the same direction. However, Venus and Uranus, along with 63 moons, all spin in the opposite direction as the other heavenly bodies.
F. The Law of Casualty: This law states that no effect can be greater than its cause, yet the Big Bang theory says that this incredibly complex universe resulted from the explosion of a ball the size of a proton.
G. The existence of galaxies: According to the concept of the Big Bang, matter should be spread evenly throughout the universe, but it is not. Instead, there are lumps of matter called galaxies.
V. What Does the Bible Teach?
A. The Big Bang theory is not science! In fact, it contradicts a number of scientific laws, as we have seen in this brief study. So if it is not science, then what is it? It is a system of faith. Hebrews 11:1 says that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Just as it takes faith to believe in God, it also takes faith to believe in the Big Bang theory and the theory of evolution. The struggle here is not between science and religion (as it is often portrayed). Rather, the struggle is in which position (creation or evolution) has the most evidence. Is there more evidence for creation or evolution? That is the issue; please don’t forget it!
B. Now, there is a sense in which I believe in the Big Bang.
1. God spoke and BANG…it happened (Gen. 1:1-3, 6, 9, 14, 20, 24).
2. The world was framed by the word of God (Heb. 11:3).
C. “The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God” (Ps. 14:1).
VI. Conclusion
A. My goal in this lesson was not to highlight the evidence for creation. My goal was simply to deny the validity of the Big Bang theory, which forms the basis of the theory of evolution (which we will examine in the next lesson).
B. Hopefully, this lesson has been helpful to you.
C. As I mentioned a few minutes ago, I do believe in a kind of Big Bang…that God spoke and BANG the world was created, but there is another kind of Big Bang that I believe in. We are told in 2 Peter 3:10-12, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness., looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.”
D. Are you ready for that great day?
my dog is normally friendly and really nice ya know, typicall whippet except for this 1 time when this person came to the door dukati(my dog) came up but he stopped a few feet away from the door instead of coming to it all the way. mom called him and he didn't come instead he clinched his teeth and started growling at the person guess who the person was, a politictoin campaigning when they left my mom said "i don't think i can vote 4 this person if my dog doesn't even like them
