So my helpful husband was assisting me in hanging the snowflakes from the ceiling in front of the fireplace and had the ladder out. Cinnamon (the cat) clambored to the top of the ladder and draped himself over it and looked all cute for a while. That was amusing. But then he realized he was very close to the mantle and with just a little jump he could make it! So he did. Unfortunately there was no room for him there as it was loaded with the glass stocking holders. Thaxter's is this beautiful frosted and clear stag. As Cinnamon jumped the stag slipped...and my hero husband flew across the room in time to catch it in mid air! It was saved ... and so was the cat.

I was at sunday lunch with a bunch of kids at the Kercheville's and Seth Warren mentioned something about one of your kids, and I think it was Alicia (Cruz) Kercheville who said she went to school with you, and suddenly I burst out, "I LOVE MRS.DICKEY!!!" I couldn't restrain myself. It got kinda quiet and they all kinda looked at me funny.
I think that could be an excellent idea. And I also think that if you decide to do it, you need to post photos of it. I guess it all depends on how many leaves your trees already have...
Very nice Mrs. Dickey. It almost makes me like a cat. Just to know the comradery that snoopy feels towards his feline friend. The cat probably doesnt even care but snoopy does.
Hi Wanda - I just followed you here from someone's blog and I love your poem. Craig's grandmother used to have a cat named Cinnamon that I'd given her. (he was a bobtail). I hope he is better now!
