So I'm back in school for my last real semester as a college student and its kinda weird. I'm very excited about graduating but its affecting me differently than I thought it would. I'm trying not to think about leaving because its a sad thought. So I'm enjoying my time as much as possible! I started back classes with 18 hours...yeah I know, insane. A couple weekends ago Lynz and Erica had a Bachelorette party for Kelly and it was so much fun! We went to Amsterdams for dinner, which was amazing, even though we waited forever to be seated. Then we surprised Kelly with a sleep-over. We had a scavenger hunt that was pretty much awesome. Definitely some good stories from that one! Then Erin Dyle, Bekah, and Rachel threw another shower for Kelly. The cake was awesome and we had fun even though there were tornado sirens going off the whole time. Fun weekend!
Last weekend Bekah, Megan Lee, and I drove up to B'ham for Kelly and Ryan's wedding. It was so pretty and laid back and we had a blast. Then we drove back to get ready for some Auburn football! Saturday I slept late and then met Bekah, Amber, Matthew Persell, and his cousin Eric for lunch at Chick fil a. David and Rachel showed up and we all went to Tiger Walk. After standing in the sun for an hour we went to sit inside the stadium, in the sun. It was hot. The game finally started and we won. It was a fun game but I'm definitely looking forward to some big games! Then we battled the traffic and went back to Erica's to hang out. Sunday we had church, which was packed! Sundays after football games are very encouraging because we have so many visitors. I love it. Sunday night some of us ate at Applebee's, mainly for dessert. Then Rachel, Allison Chandler, Lynz, Bekah, and I went to see "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2." It was really good and we had a great time!
Well that pretty much sums up my past couple weeks! Hope everyone has a great week!
Well according to Erica I need to update. Its not gonna be detailed, but here it is:
~Made all A's this summer!!! Yay! Its a first and about time
~Went home for a little over two weeks: saw my aunt, her daughters and their children; went to visit my Grandad; went to Ashlyn and Tyler's wedding; read some really great books ("The Choice" was the best); spent great quality time with my family; did not fight with my brother for the first time in forever; overall it was great!
~Home was great but I missed Bekah, Erica, and Lynz
~Glad to be back in Auburn! Glad Erin Dallas is back.
~Not ready for classes :( but ready for football season!!! WAR EAGLE!
~Ready to graduate but wondering how I'm gonna leave Auburn in less than a year :(
Erica I hope this makes you happy! Its a pretty pathetic update but at least its something :)
How is is that Erica is always the one who request the updates..and somehow we always listen!! Im so ready for football season! And cant believe its my 3rd year here!!
Stupid title I know, but its all I could come up with and is the theme for my Summer program. We've been teaching the little children about attraction and magnetism and all that. They wanted to know why we're attracted to space so we've been working on a space ship and astronaut stuff and I've become such a nerd. Ok maybe just more of one than I already was. Anyway. I've been very busy with school but it hasn't been too terribly bad. I'm really gonna miss the kids but definitely not being at school at 7 am or some of the crazy parents. I know that in just a year I'll really be getting my fill of all that but right now I need a break. Thursday is our last day with the kids which is just sad and exciting at the same time.
I have to say that this summer might possibly be the best summer I've had since I've been in college, which is really good since its my last one as a college student. The summer before I moved here was good because I had a really good job that I absolutely loved. But this summer has been pretty awesome because of all my friends. It started off really bad and I started dreading how it would be. Fortunatly things really fell in place for me and others and it has pretty much rocked ever since. I got to spend a few days at the beach with my family, which is always nice. And then the rest of the time I have just enjoyed spending as much time with my friends as possible. Its so weird to think that this time next year I won't be here so I'm making the best of the time I have left in Auburn.

Predictions
So I haven't updated in more than a month so I guess I should. Actually I don't really have time to update and thats pretty much why I haven't. The past month has been crazy. So much has happened and changed in my life. I lost one of the most important people in my life that I miss everyday. My nanny was very special to me and things will never be the same now that she is gone. She has always had a way of bringing people together and even now that she's gone she's still doing that. I have gotten much closer to my cousins and uncle, and definitely closer with my parents and brother. A lot has also been put into perspective and I'm trying to make more of an effort with others. School is rough. I have never been so busy in my life and I'm finally getting used to this no sleep thing. I'm feeling a lot more comfortable with what I'll be doing when I have my own classroom so that is a big plus from the summer. I don't like being at school for 10+ hours a day though. Its not much fun. I have all next week off though so I'm very excited about that and will enjoy it as much as possiblt.
Even though things haven't been exactly easy the past 5 weeks or so, some things are definitely going well. I've enjoyed hanging out with my church friends so much. They've all been great friends to have after losing my grandmother and are all helping me deal with it. And I'm just having a blast with them. The past 2 weeks have been exceptionally good, especially because we went to the creek and to Chewacla this weekend. Definitely have had some funny times and made some good memories in the past few weeks, and those moments are some I know that I will miss the most. School, on the other hand, I will not miss.
Well, I have a paper due tomorrow so I must stop putting it off. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
one of those funny moments....matthew jumping the porch last night...haha. then someone questioning me about what was going on... lol.thankfunnly i was on the phone. :)
I'm sorry!!! I hate headaches. I layed in the bed for a while before I fell asleep, but when I got home Matthew was leavin so I guess I missed all the fun anyway. :( haha. Glad ur head is better
Thanks to everyone for the prayers, thoughts, and words of encouragement after the loss of my grandmother. Her visitation will be tomorrow night (Saturday) 6-9 at Limestone Chapel in Athens, AL. The funeral will be Sunday at 1:30. It was very sudden and we've all been hit pretty hard but are hanging in there and know that she is now in a better place and that God is taking care of her. Keep praying for us, especially through the next few days.
katie, i am very sorry...i just started catching up on email & all this & just saw this. i hope this weekend went well for you, considering. i know how you feel, there is nothing to be said to make YOU feel much better. i am here for you though if you need anything...haha, well if you need comfort (i can't drive again!). love you. :o)
