Cody, it's one thing to make sure your brethren know the issues and try to get them to understand what the Scriptures say about it in lively discussion. It's an entirely different thing for hateful remarks putting people down to divide what should be brethren.
I like your analogy of the people wanting a king to our current situation with the election and Obama. (I'm assuming that you are comparing Obama, the "messiah" of the Democratic party, to the king that Israel so badly wanted. I was just thinking the same thing the other day. It's slightly different here in the 21st century though...the people don't want a king, they want a Star! Someon who appeals to their senses and strangely enough, B.O. does just that.
well, thanks to everyone who told me happy birthday! although 17 isn't one of those "finally" birthdays (18 is just around the corner!) it's great to have friends on facebook and here who are so kind. thanks again!
yesterday, sarah made me the greatest birthday dinner ever! all of my favorites that she makes :-D: poppyseed chicken, homemade green beans, glazed carrots, rolls, and mashed potatoes. NUMMMYYYY! i even had a made-from-scratch AMAZING cake! definitely was a great evening. she got me great gifts too, a Rocawear cologne kit (aaaammmaaazing) and my favorite senior picture of her in a 5 x 7 picture frame. she is so good to me! :-)
tonight we went to CICI's to eat pizza! it was a blast. my parents ordered me a class ring and will get me some reeds (woodwind players know the importance of stocking up at birthdays). hannah got me a "flarp" machine that simulates every type of flatulence you can think of! THANK YOU HANNAH! HOURS OF ENJOYMENT LIE BEFORE ME!!!!!!!
YAY, it's pretty much 11:15 now! 17 years ago RIGHT NOW my mother was in unbearable, agonizing pain as i conveniently got stuck in the birth canal. love ya, mom! ;-)
I KNOW, I WANT THERE. When you came out the doctor did not know who to slap. Ahhhh, that was a rotten joke. Just kidding. IT WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST MOMENTS OF MY LIFE !!
hey, u did fine. u had a couple really nice plays & i believe that u had like 2 goals. O, and thank u for playing, it made all the teams even and it was a lot of fun
1. I am determined to major in music education, most likely at West Virginia University.
2. I love to play the saxophone. It is my passion, and my hobby. I look to it when I need to get my mind off of something or relax. For 8 years it has received my enjoyment, and it always will.
3. I am the drum major of the Parkersburg South High School Patriot Marching Band.
4. I have a lot of recessive traits (yay for biology people!) Blond hair, blue eyes, attached ear lobes, etc.
5. I don't really like to read; I only do it if I have to for class and such.
6. My favorite class other than music of course is biology (see #4). That stuff just interests me, especially since it proves how detailed God made things.
7. I like to write. I hate to read but like to write. It's funny how English comes so easy to me in school even thought I don't read. I think some of that "easy" feeling must have been inherited from her. She is such a talented writer. SEE! Everything really *boils* down to biology! HAR HAR HAR
8. Football is by far my favorite sport. I used to play it but got out because of the politics involved. Now I simply enjoy to watch it. (Go Parkersburg South, WVU, and Steelers!)
haha! I don't think I've ever met anyone (that I know of) with attached ear lobes. I am the same way! Hence my occasional nickname "lobeless" when someone wants to tease me :P haha
About two years ago I watched football for the first time; now I'm hooked.
For some reason, I sense you might like biology or something?? ;)
We're doing all right. Undefeated so far, but we definitely dodged a huge bullet last saturday matrix-style. We had a huge tear in the middle of a difficult part of our show, but we managed to pull it back together and win grand champs. this saturday is our own competition in the evening, as well as huntington's in the morning, then black walnut so it looks like our season is winding down. Only another month then it'll pretty much be over, until our band trip in the spring. What about you all?
