Well, the time has finally come for an update. Things have been really busy these days, so computer time is at a very low minimum.
However, I could not let this weekend pass without letting everyone know that our baby girl is turning two. Excited and sad all at once are my feelings now. I love birthdays, and have discovered that I love my kids' birthdays much more than my own. This week we moved out the crib that has been a staple of the girls' room for about 4 years. That means we no longer have a baby. Frown!!! But, Kelsey is a precious gift that I am very grateful for daily. She adds humor and joy to our lives in a way that I could never have imagined.
Although the closeness of our girls' ages has been challenging, we would not trade our family for anything in the world. All three are true blessings from the Lord, and this weekend we will be celebrating especially for one of them.
Mommy loves you, Kels, a Million-Bazillion, For Ever & Ever!!
Love to you all, too!!!
Lori
I can't believe she's TWO! Wow, how time flies!! We really need to get down there to see everyone. We're like you guys though... very, very busy. Maybe one day in the near future... :) (P.S. ROLL TIDE! I thought about you guys during the GA game too!!)
Hi! Can you not just click on the picture and save as? If not, no problem- just send me your email address and I'll be happy to share the picture with you! Roll Tide!!
The rafting trip was great. There were 23 of us who rafted:None fell out and I believe all are ready to go back. There are lots of pictures, but I have already been over how rediculously ignorant I am about all this extra stuff you do, so if you want pictures, you will have to walk me through step by step. Anyway, there are some really funny ones. Traci Wallace cracked me up because in all of her pictures, she is waving at the camera and smiling like she is at Olan Mills. How she stayed in the boat during one of them roughest rapids on the river while posing for the picture is beyond me. Wes Brown cracks me up because there is a picture of him (while in the front of the raft) preparing himself for the water that is about to engulf the boat. He has let go of the paddle so he can hold on TIGHTLY to the chicken strap, his feet are crossed, not planted firmly in the edge of the boat, where they are supposed to be, and his face could not be more scrunched up. For those of you who know Wes, this is a million times funnier when you can see it, so maybe someone else will post it (or attempt to tell me how). Also, Alex Drake decided she would go. Her picture is funny, too. I think that her helmet was way too big for her little head, so half of her face is covered by this dorky looking helmet that we all had to wear, and the look on her face is sheer terror. I laugh every time I see that one, too!
Everyone had a great time, and I hope we can do it again next year. If you are super nice, we may add you to the list of invitees!!!
Glad to be back with the girls. We have some grocery shopping to do (gotta use some of the coupons from the 11 newspapers we bought-there is a bread coupon in there for a free loaf of really good bread plus McDonald's chicken biscuit and chicken sandwich for free!!) I think that 11 papers is a bit obsessive, but we figured we would come out way better in the long run, so I sent Chris in so I wouldn't be embarrassed. Anyway, I think I am rambling because I am too tired, so I will force myself to be quiet.
Love to you all,
Lori
hahahaha, i have got to see that pic of wes. it's pretty easy to load them. put them on your computer, then go to a site like www.photobucket.com, which is free to make an account. load the picture on photobucket, then you will have a link that it gives you, which you put in your post, and the picture will pop up. you can do it! :)
About ten years ago (when one of the teens was a toddler), we were at a playground. A man was parading around without a shirt and one of the girl's screamed at the top of her lungs, "GET THAT NAKED MAN AWAY FROM ME!" We lived in WI at the time and we rarely saw immodesty so she was horrified. It was so embarrasing!
She is the most like me when it comes to speaking her mind (fun, I assure you).
Only one more day 'til the next rafting trip. I guess I should be really glad that I don't live closer, cause then we would be in real trouble finding the money to do this every week!! I am so excited about going, and it will be a blast watching everyone in action!! At least half of the brethren from North Bibb are going, plus a few, so it will be huge fun!
Everything is going really well here. The twins are getting more mature every day, and Kelsey is keeping us on our toes, as usual. Love 'em all to death, and feel blessed beyond measure to be with them every day (even through the stressed out times of mommyhood!)
Pretty much been the same ol' thing around here, so not much to bore you with this time.
If I don't drown, I hope to tell you how everyone did with the rafting!
Love to you all,
Lori
OK, I am one of those people who love to tell people about new and useful things I find out about that make my life easier. Well, I have a great one for you. I am sure that I am one of the last people to have tried the excellent invention THE WINDOW SQUEGEE. I bought one earlier this week, and just got done using it for the first time. This thing is great!!! I got windows cleaned in a jiffy and it was fun, too! Just thought I would share with all of my pleo buds about this great housekeeping tool.
BTW..For those of you who get Parenting magazine, my picture is there this month!! I didn't come up with any of the useful tips beside my mug, but it makes me look smart, anyway. The tips are for saving money on gas.
Hope yall have a great weekend!
Love to you all,
Lori
The funny thing about that knot on his head... he did that at home before we left that day, and I didn't notice it until we got to Penney's about two hours later. *sigh* I guess some pictures are just more true to life than others. =-)
I'm excited!! And I think I understood everything, so no worries. Are you guys going to be there Friday? We're going to get there Friday night. See ya this weekend!
Just thought I would let everyone know...as if you were wondering---
Things are going well here, but really busy. I have tried to stay off of the computer lately because it is a real time stealer. I come and check up on everyone every now and then. We had a good trip. The girls did really well on such a long trip. Everyone did things they enjoyed, and we only had one injury (Kelsey got a busted lip).
Our Gospel Meeting starts this Lord's Day. I am looking forward to hearing all of the different speakers, many of which I have never met. Hope to see some of you this week.
Guess I better get back to stuff around here--the sisters will be up soon!
Love to you all,
Lori
