I had the best weekend with my favorite person, who also just happens to be the best husband in the world. We had multiple picnics, visited parks and museums, chilled, went to a zoo and caught up with some wonderful old friends. I was so unbelievably happy; it's impossible to describe.
I'm so thankful to God for the many blessings he has given me. I"m thankful for this weekend and it reminding me of this. I'm thankful for Adam. I'm thankful for the opportunity to have a day and half long vacation. I'm thankful for the friends I've been surrounded with.
I am so incredibly blessed and I tend to take it all for granted. It was a fantastic weekend.
I voted today for the first time ever. It was great! I was scared about long lines because when Adam voted in the primaries it was 3 HOURS before he got home. However, today I walked in, signed my name, chatted with the man who gave me my number (i was wearing a theatre shirt and he was into community theatre so we were automatic friends), voted and then ate lunch with my hubby. It was a great afternoon and I felt so empowered.
I had a fantastic afternoon. I hope everyone else's voting experience was equally as wonderful.
I started school two weeks ago. Taking 19 hours and co-directing a show in one semester was probably the worst decision I've ever made. I hope I pass everything and make it out alive.
First of all thank you for all your prayers. I know they helped.
This morning for breakfast Adam ate half of a hashbrown from McDonald's and half a biscuit with jelly. Although that sounds like a pathetic morning meal it is the most he has eaten in days. It was so encouraging to watch him finally eat. This is a huge improvement. Adam is in less pain, he is conversing, watching movies with me, sitting in a chair instead of the bed, and even walking laps around the hospital. If Adam starts eating and drinking consistently he will be able to go home. The doctor is predicting as early as tomorrow or Saturday. Even if he goes home it will still take awhile for him to fully heal, but he is most certainly on his way.
I am so thankful to God for watching over Adam, comforting him and us, and giving us Christian friends that pray and take care of us.
