As of 12pm today my mastercard is officially melted, my graduation money is gone, and my anxious wait begins for my new Mac Book Pro to come in. I can't wait. I knew I would have to upgrade from the cheap fix of an HP I stuck myself with first. My HP could barely run Internet Explorer and Microsoft Word at the same time. With the new Mac, I shouldn't have that problem....
I am officially done with Summer Op. I can't say that I'm upset in any way about that. John Mayer is expecting me in Birmingham on Saturday...Pretty psyched.
And the reason for the new respect for tennis players. I made a weak attempt at playing tennis one night last week. My Serbian friend Milan Krnjetin who happens to be here on a scholarship asked me to come to the tennis courts to pick him up after he gave a lady a tennis lesson. Being the nice guy that I am, I went there and they had been finished up for a few minutes and he asked me if I'd like to hit a few balls around with him for a minute. I thought that would be fun, so I pranced out on the court. I thought I was somewhat athletic, but after that night I have decided to stick to trapshooting. As If I hadnt had enough, I asked him to serve...I just wanted to see what it looked like. After the first of (4) 140mph serves that centered the box in front of me ( one of which hit me in the chest) I tucked my head and licked my wounds as the car warmed up.
So the last few days weren't so great, but there are always places to look for help.
Off the bad and on to the good.
I have finished my first two sections of Summer Op and I'm pretty excited about all of that. July 30th is my last day of that, and If all goes well I should be full-fledged INDD student in the fall.
After Summer Op is over I am going home for a few days. On August 4th I am going to see John Mayer, Ben Folds, and James Morrison in concert at Oak Mountain. Its my birthday present to myself..I'm pretty excited about that..
August 5th I leave to go to the World Trapshooting Championships in Sparta, Illinois. I'll be up there with friends and shooting buddies until the 14th when I will be shuttled to the airport and flown home alone to go BACK to school :( on the 16th.
